Astute Medical, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of bio

Merieux, is an in-vitro diagnostics company dedicated to improving health outcomes through the identification, validation and commercialization of novel biomarker tests. To support the commercialization of its novel biomarker products, including the FDA-cleared NephroCheck Test for acute kidney injury, Astute Medical is seeking an energetic, experienced and self-motivated individual for the position of Program Director.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director, Materials Management is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Materials Management team. Individuals in this role create and maintain effective plans and schedules that ensure material / product inventory and capacity throughout the supply chain is in alignment with company objectives. This role leads the Materials Management team to implement and execute these plans in compliance with existing business processes, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead materials management team to complete day-to-day on-site purchasing, planning, logistics, and customer service activities

  • Lead and maintain inventory management processes, including planning / demand forecasting, S&OP process; prevent stock outs of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the supply chain

  • Ensure material and product transfers within the supply chain implement best logistics practices and fulfill legal / regulatory requirements

  • Support ongoing relationship management of Astute's suppliers, including:

  • Maintain and communicate purchasing forecasts

  • Maintain Supply, Service, Purchasing Agreements

  • Establish and maintain periodic interactions with suppliers (e.g., weekly/monthly meetings, annual business reviews, audit schedule, etc.)

  • Measure, monitor, and report on status of supply chain through KPI's and metrics, such as inventory levels, supplier performance, cost-of-goods

  • Prepares budgets for department and direct materials purchases

  • Proactively identify and escalate / report potential supply chain disruptions to Astute Leadership

  • Develop, monitor, and evolve supply chain infrastructure and processes to support evolving business requirements over time (e.g. volume growth, geographies, changing customer service requirements, regulatory requirements, quality system requirements)

  • Support qualification of new suppliers and other new supply / material sourcing activities

  • Partner with technical teams to complete technology / design transfer to contract manufacturing suppliers

  • Create and support quality initiatives to maintain an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with Company's Quality Management System and ensure that all individuals reporting to him / her comply with the Company's Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree, preferably in a scientific discipline

  • Broad experience in purchasing, planning, logistics, customer service and / or supply chain management

  • Five-year minimum experience leading and developing teams of operations professionals.

  • Proven history of effectively managing teams and organizational change

  • Working knowledge and experience with FDA (QSR), ISO 13485, MDD / IVDD, MDR / IVDR and related regulations / standards

  • Able to multi-task in an energy-charged, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and build cross-functional partnerships across the organization

About the Role: The Senior Clinical Data Management Associate (CDA) is responsible for independently performing data management tasks and providing oversight and leadership to support the development, design, implementation, and validation of clinical study databases for both in-house and outsourced clinical trials for all clinical studies/programs. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): * Oversee the development and quality control (QC) of data management documents including data management plans, data validation specifications, data management central files, and database quality control. * Represent Data Management as the Lead CDA on Clinical Project Teams. * Ensure that appropriate data validation (edit check) specifications, quality control checks, and any manual review procedures (eg, listing review) are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Develop Clinical Data Management timelines (with management approval) including interim and final database lock and data reviews; monitor overall data management tasks to ensure that timelines are met and that any issues are proactively identified and resolved. * Coordinate and assist with any in-house database design, validation, testing, and edit check programming to ensure that the clinical study database meets protocol and data specifications. * Identify, create, and utilize appropriate reports to ensure data validation and overall project timelines are met. * Identify, analyze, propose solutions, and effectively resolve complex data cleaning issues by exercising appropriate judgment and collaborating with the clinical project team members. * Coordinate and ensure completion of all aspects of data review, including running validation procedures, issuing queries, database QC, SAE Reconciliation, medical coding, and database closure activities according to SOPs. * Follows coding guidelines and utilize all available resources to accurately code, with minimal guidance, Medical History, Adverse Event, and Concomitant Medication data using MedDRA and WHO Drug dictionaries. * Provide data management guidance to the Biostatistics and Clinical Operations departments. * Create and provide input in the development of SOPs, Work Instructions, guidelines, standardization of case report forms and edit checks, and selection and implementation of data management software. * Develop and present at Investigator Meetings and train internal and external users (e.g., sites, CRAs) on the use of EDC. * Recommend improvements to existing Clinical Data Management practices and procedures (SOPs, Work Instructions), including identifying and recommending solutions for technology issues. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 6 years of data management experience is required. * Additional experience utilizing Rave Architect (including Amendment Manager and Targeted SDV) and providing CRO oversight of DM tasks is a plus. * Comprehensive knowledge of data management practices from protocol design to database lock. * Proficiency with Medidata Rave; basic knowledge of SQL. * Experience working under Good Clinical Practices, Good Clinical Data Management Practices, CDISC/CDASH, and other FDA guidelines is required. * Proficiency with medical terminology and experience coding clinical data using WHO Drug and MedDRA coding dictionaries. * Demonstrated solid oral and written communication skills and analytical/problem-solving skills are essential as is the ability to clearly communicate basic data management concepts to those outside data management. * Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines. * Must be able to travel up to 5% per year. * Requires the ability to sit or stand while working on a computer for a long period of time.
