SUMMARY:

You will lead the go-to-market coordination, execution and support of the Enterprise Inventory Optimization "solution" for MMS US Region. To deliver this total proposition, this position will cover the coordination and market execution of all product components needed to achieve successful delivery of this value proposition. The Region role will support the sale of each product but with a focus on driving to an enterprise approach as measured by committed contracts, competitive conversions, sales revenue, and profitability.

The position reports to the VP of Marketing and Commercial Effectiveness for the US region and will require close cross functional collaboration with the Pyxis and HealthSight Platforms and GCS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all elements of the U.S. region launch process to ensure organizational readiness.

  • Lead regional launch team to execute a market introduction. Participate in the global launch team, representing needs of the U.S. region.

  • Define & execute the downstream marketing plan for Enterprise Inventory Optimization to increase brand awareness and value, drive sales and adoption of capabilities (Anchor products plus HealthSight Technology and products and services

  • Collaborate with Global Platforms to ensure U.S. regional needs are factored into the development and GTM strategies.

  • Develop MMS sales messaging that supports BD MMS Way of Selling and is consistent with customer buying process. Develop support to increase sales productivity and effectiveness in field, i.e. sales collateral, systems/tools.

  • Develop customer success material to highlight MMS successes and best practices, including testimonials, case studies, videos, and webinars.

  • Leverage content from Platform to develop sales training to date and support sales training.

  • Manage direct reports as assigned.

  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.

  • Conduct launch post-mortems to ensure continuous process improvement and maximize value-add.

  • Track results and forecast.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, nursing, or pharmacy with at least 5 years of marketing experience in the medical device industry in a FDA regulated environment.

  • MBA is desired but not required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preferably upstream and downstream product and services development and launch

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience launching new products and revenue generating services within a specific business unit and across multiple businesses

  • Experience in planning, executing, and measuring marketing programs

  • Experience in supporting and training salesforce for new product launches and on-going sales messaging.

The Department: The Fleet Operations Department provides all City departments with motive equipment and comprehensive fleet management services. Support includes acquisition, fitting, maintenance and repair, the provision of parts and fuel, body repair, painting, metal fabrication, disposal services, and other motive equipment-related support services, such as machining, equipment rental, and operator training. The adopted Fiscal Year 2019 budget includes 205.75 full time employees and an operating budget of nearly $54 million. In addition, the Fiscal Year 2019 budget included nearly $48 million for the Fleet Operations Replacement Fund. The Department is responsible for purchasing and maintaining approximately 4,400 vehicles, consisting of approximately 1,600 Police vehicles, 100 Fire-Rescue vehicles, 140 refuse and recycling packers, 1,450 cars and medium duty trucks, 600 heavy duty trucks and 500 pieces of construction/industrial equipment. High priority vehicles include police patrols, fire apparatus, refuse packers, drain cleaners and street sweepers. Fleet Operations facilities include four operation stations and nine garages, most of which operate two shifts per day, five days a week. The Position: Under the leadership of the Mayor and the general direction of the Fleet Operations Department Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management, overall functionality, and data integrity of the Fleet Focus Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) as the Department continues moving towards using data to make fleet-related decisions that affect the entire City. The City of San Diego, specifically the Fleet Operations Department, utilizes AssetWorks' Fleet Focus browser-based EAM software solution to track all activity associated with the lifecycle of each motive asset from acquisition to disposition, including all maintenance and repair work. The system also includes parts storeroom management which has an annual operation of over $15.0 million and tracks the movement of approximately 300,000 parts annually. The position will refine existing data, develop Citywide policies and procedures, and manage the overall use of the Fleet Focus EAM ensuring the City takes full advantage of all that Fleet Focus has to offer. This position must have independent authority to not only identify resolutions and align solutions with industry best practices but manage the resolution process timely while navigating a municipal and political environment. This position will also oversee an Information Systems Analyst 3 that provides all information technology support to the Fleet Operations Department. Minimum Requirements: * An ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a closely related field and * Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in a public and/or private sector that demonstrates the skills and abilities needed to be successful in this position. * A combination of education and experience that demonstrates these qualifications may be qualifying.
