Job Summary

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for leading and maintaining IEEE SA's market intelligence and business intelligence asset development. This function will aid in developing a dedicated course of practice that will enhance the agility of business decision-making through accurate and effective executive and management reports. The Director of MBIR will be responsible for interfacing across the IEEE SA and IEEE, to support the sourcing of accurate data as close to the proper-timeframe as possible. The role-based access approach should help to allow for the efficient development and measure across key OKRs and KPIs to provide health status with breakdown aspects. These dashboard reports and views will provide a global IEEE SA view that demonstrates contribution and impact at a regional based by Practice Area, as well as comparative views in strategic domain areas. The incumbent will develop and own the process regarding the information reflected. This information will be demonstrated across a balanced scorecard approach, including financials, market-facing (internal and external), and selected operational data in an elegant and efficient reporting dashboard. This includes interfacing with the Finance and Contracts team to develop an automated view (to the best degree possible based on available budget). This function owns the balance scorecard dashboarding process for IEEE SA Managing Director reports

The incumbent will have a deep understanding of IEEE SA business processes, understanding of revenue gains and losses, monetization impacts through process delays, and expense savings to help aid in a more accurate depiction of the state of the IEEE SA which is to be provided to the SA MD.

The incumbent will also oversee and lead the development of a market intelligence process that will provide improved comparative briefs and instantiate and monitor the dashboard to identify agility-based opportunities based on market movements that have been validated. This includes proactively searching for means to automate input from Market Research findings into actionable intelligence. The scope of the role will include overseeing the development and quality of reports based on meaningful and contextual information made accessible through business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the development of a market intelligence process that will provide improved comparative briefs and instantiate and monitor the dashboard to identify agility-based opportunities based on market movements that have been validated.

• Proactively searching for means to automate input from Market Research findings into actionable intelligence.

• Overseeing the development and quality of reports based on meaningful and contextual information made accessible through business intelligence tools.

• Helping to undertake business analysis opportunities, conduct detailed models including Monte Carlo simulations and in-depth statistical analysis for scenario planning and development, and business plan assumption testing.

• Own the process of automating and augmenting to the most reasonable of report delivery for IEEE SA Board Reporting.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req

• Master's or other advanced degree Pref

Skills and Requirements

• Power user of the IEEE Finance Systems and aids to function as the business user for the SA

• Ability to work through ambiguity and work diplomatically across the department and the Organization

• Must be curious, detail-oriented, and constantly applying a hypothesis-led approach to ensure that data-led outcomes are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive

• A strong background in IEEE's financial systems, contract systems, data capture and analysis, and working from the Executive level to the operational level

• Has a proper mix of analytical and personable skills
