The Associate Director, Finance Development will build and execute on the overall strategy, design and implementation of Global Finance development by enhancing capabilities for the entire finance organization. This individual will lead or support a variety of projects and activities including the delivery of leadership training programs, conducting needs assessment, educating and consulting stakeholders in a matrix organization on best practices to drive talent outcomes and business performance. Position requires significant collaboration along with executive presence with Finance Leadership, Business Human Resources (BHR) and Talent & Development. This will also be accountable to the Finance Development Steering Committee (FDSC) and will align strategy with FDSC and activate execution plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, build and execute a Global Finance Development strategy and in collaboration and alignment with the FDSC.

  • Strategize with external partners (such as Gartner) and internal Abbvie Talent team to ensure we are creating a competitive best in class talent and capability development strategy for our Finance organization.

  • Fully accountable for execution of all learning events which can include facilitation, development of event materials and overall logistics.

  • Responsible for communications which could include bi-monthly Finance Forward newsletters, manage and update Finance sharepoint, and providing updates to Finance leadership.

  • Partner with BHR and FDSC to coach/develop top talent within the organization and differentiate their development.

  • Create and activate training plans that model our 70/20/10 development model. Execute personal and technical training, leadership development, Finance Academy, Career Fairs and work with Abbvie Talent Team to identify leadership training curriculum that meets needs of the finance organization.

  • Deals with ambiguity; is able to make timely decisions without having the complete picture

  • Embraces the ideas of others, nurtures innovation and manages innovation to reality

  • Creates a learning environment, open to suggestions and experiments on improvement

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years in Human Resources Management with emphasis in Talent Management, Training & Development or Instructional Design practice and process development

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills

  • Experience facilitating training programs. Demonstrated superior facilitation skills

  • Proven experience leading teams directly and indirectly

  • Effective in managing complex projects across multi-disciplinary, matrix environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build executive ready presentations, communicate with executive audiences

The District has 1 early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9th?– 12?th? grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City. Why We Do This Work: The Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 has set an ambitious agenda for change, guided by the belief that all children, regardless of circumstances, can achieve at high levels and academic gaps can and will be eliminated with the support of teachers who deliver engaging, relevant, and academically rigorous instruction that excites students and instills a love of learning in them. What We Need: The Social Emotional Learning Specialist will provide building level support, coaching and training to assist in the implementation of the district multi-tiered service delivery model for meeting student social/emotional and behavioral needs. The Social Emotional Learning Specialist will be directly responsible to the Coordinator of MTSS and SEL and indirectly responsible to the Principal of assigned buildings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support building administration and teams with analyzing student data, including attendance and discipline records, social-emotional screening data, principal and teacher recommendations to determine school-wide patterns and identify at risk student population. * Support building administration and classroom teachers with designing and implementing a universal social-emotional learning instructional program aligned with Illinois Social-Emotional Learning Standards. * Facilitate development and implementation of school-wide expectations, teaching, and reinforcement practices. * Coordinate building leadership team efforts to integrate PBIS and SEL into other school improvement activities. * Support teams with collecting and analyzing data for problem solving, decision making and action planning, including Universal Social-Emotional Screening, PBIS implementation process data, Self-Assessment Survey (SAS), Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI), Antecedent-Behavior Consequence (ABC) Observations, Behavior Frequency Tracking Observations, and other screening/progress monitoring/outcome assessments as needed. * Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans to ensure student progress. * Support classroom teachers and student support personnel with developing and implementing progress monitoring schedules for all students receiving supplemental intervention support, including Social-Emotional screening, Check In Check Out (CICO) data, observational data, office discipline referral data, and other measures as appropriate to evaluate student response to intervention * Provide technical assistance to building administrators, teachers, support personnel and school-based MTSS team(s) to facilitate implementation of PBIS, social-emotional learning, problem solving and multi-tiered systems of support. Technical assistance activities may include observation and feedback, modeling, and other supportive assistance necessary to implement the instructional program, data-based decision-making and problem solving process. * Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed * Support and sustain the district's development of multi-tiered systems of support through attending district level professional development and, in turn, providing building level instructional staff with continued professional development; * Provide professional staff development related to identification and understanding of students with social/emotional/behavioral needs, development and implementation of positive behavior interventions and supports, social-emotional learning standards and instructional strategies, restorative practices, problem-solving, data analysis, and progress monitoring; * Attend professional development opportunities that promote improved instructional strategies and support implementation of Social-Emotional Learning Standards, research-based interventions, data-based decision-making and the problem-solving process; * Keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information. * Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or Coordinator of MTSS/SEL Note: The above statements are intended to describe the essential functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job.
