Associate Director, IT Enterprise Applications (G&A)

Reporting to the Director of IT Enterprise Applications, the Associate Director, IT Enterprise Applications will serve as the IT business partner to the general and administrative (G&A) functions at ORIC. In this role, the Associate Director will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise business needs of these functions. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with the G&A functions at ORIC to understand business drivers and align on priorities.

  • Contribute and maintain a robust IT roadmap of applications, including the definition of project objectives, prioritization, and implementation plans.

  • Establish and foster relationships with Business Stakeholders and Service Providers.

  • Collaborate closely with IT leadership and the business community to provide application portfolio management for G&A departments (HR, Legal, Facilities, and Finance)

  • Oversee the project management of all G&A systems.

  • Develop application business requirements and systems goals in collaboration with the business community and IT applications specialists.

  • Execute functional tasks and deliverables of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory environments (SOX, GxP, EMA, GDPR, Privacy, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Plan and communicate application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-initiated patches.

  • Develop and manage the change control process for HR, Legal, Facilities, and Finance initiatives.

  • Ensure new software integrations meet business requirements, system compliance, testing, validation, and interface specifications.

  • Manage all business group enhancement and upgrade requests for managed products.

  • Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and perform other end-user-related activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Experience managing G&A applications and/or systems management, focusing on HR, Legal, Facilities, and Finance in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven experience overseeing software solutions' direction, planning, installation, and implementation. Direct, hands-on experience with server administration tools.

  • Experience working on ERP application support and implementation covering requirements gathering, system design, configuration/development, functional testing, go live, and support.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX, GxP, GDPR).

  • Strong background in software/system development methodology (i.e., Agile, SDLC, ITIL) and project management/business analysis.

  • Project management skills and a strong focus on delivery.

  • Experience supporting applications such as SharePoint, ERP, LIMS, QMS, LMS, and HRIS

  • Ability to navigate from strategic to operational and hands-on with a sense of urgency and a solutions-oriented filter.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner to stakeholders and end-users and to effectively communicate business needs to technology partners/resources.

  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, excellent follow-up skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Minimum bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred) with at least 6+ years of work experience (Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology preferred)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Project management certification

The anticipated salary range for candidates is between $160,000-$220,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. ORIC is a multi-state employee, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
