KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, IT Disaster Recovery to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of IT DR professionals; develop and mentor employees to build high performing teams

  • Spearhead the development and execution of disaster recovery exercises and tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery strategies

  • Collaborate with external vendors and SaaS/PaaS service providers to conduct contract and resilience evidence reviews

  • Define Key Performance Metrics that will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster recovery measures, making recommendations for improvements as necessary

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to IT disaster recovery

  • Work with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of disaster recovery plans and operational failover procedures across on prem, hybrid, cloud resilience architecture

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience and strong knowledge of disaster recovery principles, methodologies, and best practices

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans for complex IT environments; familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT disaster recovery

  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and lead cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
