Strategy, Insights & Analytics

Strategy is where you'll help us develop plans to shape an exciting future for Mondelz International. Working with our excellent team of strategy professionals, you'll diagnose key business growth drivers, set strategic direction for the future, prioritize our growth initiatives, and partner with our business teams to implement our growth plans.

This Insights & Analytics leader is a key member of the Marketing Leadership team, responsible for driving the learning agenda and shaping strategy for all Crackers in the Mondelez US Portfolio (Ritz, Triscuit, Wheat Thins, Good Thins, Premium, and so many other iconic brands).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that strategies and plans are based on sound consumer/ market understanding

  • Anticipate business and insights needs

  • Understand the big picture but also the nuances of the business and the research

  • Able to cut through data clutter & deliver unique insights (versed in primary & secondary research)

  • Identify new and innovative custom research techniques to help identify emerging consumer trends

  • Develop relationships with agencies to perfect the research tools in place and/or create new ones that will bring more foresight to the organization

  • Story telling: Integrate data from multiple sources (primary, secondary, & syndicated) to drive foresight & strategy

  • Develop direct reports to flourish as business leaders

  • Passion for strategy, innovation, advertising, measurement, and all things business.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Business, Mathematics, Sociology, Anthropology)

  • 8 years of Insights and/or Analytics experience. Preferably with Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

  • Experience across a broad range of market research and analytical techniques such as:

  • Shopper based market structures

  • Consumer segmentations

  • Brand health trackers

  • Advertising and campaign measurement - digital measurement experience highly desired

  • Product and concept testing

  • Packaging evaluation

  • Copy development, pre-testing, and tracking

  • Data/ insights mining with syndicated tools (nielsen/ iri, pos and household panel) (preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills and a solid grounding in translating data into actionable insights

  • Analytics experience is highly desirable

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Open minded, flexible, autonomous, and capable of leading cross-functional discussions.

This role brings specific therapeutic area in-depth expertise, analytical intuition and project management skills to turn insights into executed business capabilities within either a franchise or function*. The Commercial Insights Lead will work with franchise marketing and sales management to identify key business opportunities and challenges, and with Analytics Leads in the Solutions Group to address those through research, analytics, and reporting. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to * Support the translation and interpretation of analyses into insights for the franchise or function in support of brand P/L & investment optimization * Develop and maintain CA business acumen capability * Co-create the definition and prioritization of analytical projects to drive brand health. * Recommend execution of actions to be taken by the franchise based on insights to drive business performance * Activate other franchise or CA resources to implement insight-directed initiatives * Provide inputs to align the CA services roadmap to franchise strategy * Examples of specialization for Commercial Insights Leads: * Therapeutic area, disease state, and product expertise: * Cardiovascular * Immunology, Hepatology & Dermatology * Respiratory * Neurology * Ophthalmology * Market Access Major Accountabilities Leadership Build and lead the franchise-embedded insights team to establish a culture of data curiosity, critical thinking, and an evidence-based recommendation mindset Build functional expertise and core business capabilities within the therapeutic area or specific function Help the franchise identify, implement, and socialize best practices for business capabilities by leveraging functional expertise Develop and manage strategic planning effort to best support the franchise or function vision and roadmap through supporting activities such as business case development and benefit/attainment measurement Operational With input from the brand team(s), set and manage the analytical course for each brand and indication, across primary and secondary sources. Provide input and guidance to the Data Strategy and Acquisition Lead on the development and maintenance of the data strategy for each brand/indication Define and scope business needs to support requests and questions from the franchise or function Manage the data analysis and decision support needs within a project (e.g. prioritization, timeline management, resource allocation, etc) Support the planning, execution, and interpretation of insights from market research Identify brand P/L forecast scenarios, execute brand P/L investment ROI analysis Contribute best practices of insights generation and implementation across the brands and organization People Develop other direct report associates (if applicable) to advance analytical prowess Provide functional expertise to guide best-in-class service delivery Collaborate cross-functionally to optimally serve customers, especially with other CA operating groups Build strong, cross-functional relationships to leverage Novartis' expertise to accomplish business goals and objectives What you'll bring to the role: Education - * Undergraduate degree in business, science, or related discipline required. * Minimum 5 years of experience working on analytical projects * Minimum 10 years of Healthcare experience required within specific franchise or function * Extensive experience using data to support business decisions * Demonstrated experience in requirement collection and translation, and solution delivery to meet those requirements * Strong expertise in analysing data to qualify and quan-tify business opportunities * Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines * Demonstrated experience analyzing complex situa-tion and processes and effectively integrating and synthesizing the data to form a complete cohesive pic-ture * Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mind * Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach and manage team members * Ability to manage for results under ambiguity * Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills * Experience synthesizing information to develop rec-ommendations and communicate clearly to influence and negotiate based on recommendations * Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines * Excels at interacting with a diverse group of people, all levels of management, including senior leadership * Change management and strong project manage-ment experience * Proven business intelligence tool capabilities * Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills Desirable requirements - Fluent in English.
