At Merck Animal Health Global Supply Chain Management we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director IBP Supply Planning Process Lead.

As the Process Lead of IBP Supply Planning you are the subject matter expert that partners with other IBP process stewards and a matrix of representatives from Global SCM, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and other departments to develop the strategic IBP roadmap and to effectively manage the design, development, installation and sustainment of the IBP process for the Merck Animal Health organization.

A world-class Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process is a strategic pillar of Merck Animal Health to have the business processes in place to achieve unconstrained, uninterrupted, compliant, cost competitive supply. Outstanding Planning Processes are required at ~25 Production Sites, ~50 Sales Companies and several Global Functions to support the growth strategy of Animal Health.

Reporting directly to the Director Business Processes within Merck Animal Health Global Supply Chain Management, the Associate Director IBP Supply Planning Process Lead will be responsible to lead business readiness and execution of defined deployment plans to ensure resource alignment, communicate status, and escalate issues. You will manage a complex project portfolio and at the same time you dont hesitate to lead projects yourself and to role model flawless execution of projects. You have metrics in place to measure business benefit of the IBP Supply Planning process and you develop, monitor and report process compliance through performance metrics.

You are responsible for sustainable consistent and integrated Supply Planning processes worldwide, including the related IT system landscape, and role & responsibility clarity. You will develop, document, implement, standardize, train, govern and continuously improve the IBP Supply Planning process at the Manufacturing Sites:

  • Develop, prototype, test and implement Supply Planning solutions that enable end users to meet business objectives through established standard work (process, roles / responsibilities and tools).

  • Ensure processes, training materials, work instructions and SOP's are well documented.

  • Train and transfer knowledge to other team members, users and stakeholders

  • Manage the relationship between functional and technical IT resources, ensure performance process testing and support 'Go-Live' and 'Post Go-Live' implementation activities.

  • Ensure a level of execution excellence which you will evaluate through a formal process, and drive an increase in IBP maturity, consistency and efficiency across AH sites, markets, regions and operating units.

  • Establish the governance and sponsorship for the long term sustainment and continuous process improvements.

  • Lead and support the identification of opportunities to improve and standardize business processes and system configurations globally.

  • Lead and support project initiatives post process implementation to expand the usage of the enterprise solution and to improve processes across the supply network.

  • Develop & lead a global IBP Supply Review Community of Practice focused on the implementation, overall design integrity and realization of targeted performance improvements, working with end-users and management to solve daily issues, improve existing business processes and perform system analysis tasks.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Master's Degree in business, science or technology with a focus on Supply Chain Management, or equivalent study

  • Minimum 8 years' of relevant work experience

  • Broad understanding and knowledge of Supply Chain Management business processes.

  • Good understanding of Purchasing, Production, Quality and Lean Six Sigma within a pharmaceutical company.

  • Project management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing project teams

The key responsibilities of the role will include the following: * Providing leadership and people management support to all the GAHM IT LM site leaders, business analysts and automation engineers; * Providing leadership for design and implementation of strategic, aligned and compliant solutions to support business initiatives.
