Role Summary:
The Associate Director of HR Operations is responsible for many aspects of HR operations including benefits administration, HRIS administration and maintenance, vendor management, process documentation, HR compliance, training, analytics and reporting, and talent management cycle administration. This role is an important part of the HR team as we continue to grow and expand.
This role is based in Waltham, MA without the possibility of being remote.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including but not limited to performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's mission, values, and business objectives
Assist with the operational components of recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a positive candidate experience and seamless integration into the organization
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR operational processes and policies
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement talent management strategies that support employee growth and development
Manage HR data and analytics to track key performance indicators and provide insights for decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Deliver hire-to-retire lifecycle administration and services
Partner closely with the HR Team to ensure alignment on proposed processes, working through change management, training, and education to ensure new ways or working are adopted and implemented
Ensure processes are documented and simple to follow
Help drive the HR roadmap for process excellence, optimization, and simplification
Partner with the HR team on a continuous improvement strategy across the function utilizing data and stakeholder feedback to drive organizational excellence
Assist with components of the HR technology strategy and innovation roadmap for enterprise-wide HR technology
Collaborate to drive the people analytics strategy and development of an HR roadmap for leveraging people analytics to drive business outcomes
Identify opportunities and provide support for the implementation of new technology and business process optimization and automation
Partner closely to ensure we have the necessary policies in place across our global organization, actively monitor changes in legislation to remain compliant
Ensure SLAs are in place and are met or exceeded and drive to resolution when performance lags
Monitor vendor contracts, cost, and service level risk
Manage HR budget
Education and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in HR operations
Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving HR initiatives that support business objectives
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
