Bachelors degree
Minimum five (5) years of post-master experience in housing/residence life or student services experience in a university setting.
Demonstrate experience supervising full-time staff.
Proficient in using Microsoft suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Student Development,Education Administration, Business Administration or related field.
Direct experience of housing operations, occupancy management practices, and/or camp and conference housing
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing StarRez or other university systems.
Experience overseeing and managing budgets.
Job Description
The Associate Director for Housing Administrative Services will provide leadership and operational management for Occupancy Management and Conference Housing Services and serve as a member of the extended leadership team for the Housing and Residential Life department. The Associate Director will supervise a team of occupancy professionals that run the day-to-day functions of an 8,000-bed campus, including assignments, cancellations & exemptions, and room assignment processes. The Associate Director will also supervise a conference housing team responsible for the contracting, expansion, strategy, and implementation of a robust conference operations aimed at optimizing the revenue capacity of the department. The Associate Director will be a critical team member partnering with the Director for Housing Administrative Services to implement departmental goals and expand housing's overall operation. The Associate Director of Housing Administrative Services will report to the Director of Housing Administrative Services.
Job Duties
Administrative Leadership
Directly supervise an Assistant Director for Occupancy Management and a Program Manager for Conference Housing Services. Indirectly supervise several coordinators.
Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing all policies and procedures for Housing Administrative Services.
Perform human resource functions.
Operations
Operate daily within StarRez and Banner, managing and monitoring on-going processes and answering elevated questions.
Serve in the line of conflict resolution with a problem resolution goal before escalation.
Work with communications and occupancy team to create and track communications.
Represent the department at campus events such as New Student Orientation, Bobcat Days, and other university programs, providing information and assistance to students and families.
Monitor unit and departmental calendar for opportunities for collaboration and areas of possible conflict.
Ensure accurate housing assignments and billing are conducted per the housing contract dates.
Monitor Conference Housing Services planning and overall preparedness for summer operations.
Other Duties
Actively collaborate with Housing Facilities Services (HFS) and Residential Experience to ensure a seamless student experience.
Serve as essential personnel and assist in an emergency on campus.
Serve as a member of the departmental senior leadership team to assist in making comprehensive decisions that impact the full on-campus experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
