Cytokinetics is a late-stage, specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing first-in-class muscle activators and next-in-class muscle inhibitors as potential treatments for debilitating diseases in which cardiac muscle performance is compromised. The Associate Director, Global Supply Planning plays a key role in the Cytokinetics Commercial Supply Chain. The role owns and optimizes the end-to-end (E2E) planning within the tactical horizon for the assigned brand portfolio. Scope includes, but limited to, the E2E tactical brand plan across all Supply Chain (SC) nodes, responsible for the supply chain configuration (Value Stream Map) and brand top-line performance (Service, Cost, Inventory).

As part of the responsibilities of this role, lead the brand Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to review the E2E demand, supply, and inventory plan scenarios and make aligned trade-off decisions, to fulfill the existing imbalances in line with business objectives. In this role, you will perform complete independent and dependent brand demand validation across the E2E supply chain, including dependent demand propagation to bulk and Drug Substance or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), as part of the monthly planning cycle.

You will be responsible for the brand volume budget (inventory, production, purchasing), ensuring all demand & supply events are reflected.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end tactical plan and Supply Chain design and ensure end-to-end synchronization while balancing service, inventory, and cost

  • Lead the Brand Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process by working with Finance and Commercial to build consensus planning for execution

  • Establish, own, and execute Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to superior brand management and supply performance

  • Support the digital and data strategy for Global Supply Chain and Technical Operations

  • Be the escalation point for significant supply issues resulting from the Supply Execution with External Supply Colleagues

  • Co-ordinate the Global Planning response in Supply Chain change projects (New Product Indication (NPI), Discontinuation, Flavor, Switches) and ensure the system is set up to accurately reflect the strategy throughout its lifecycle stages

  • Be responsible for the brand volume budget and adherence to it

  • Play a key role with partners such as Commercial Marketing and Sales Operations, Drug Development and Clinical Operations, and Finance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)

  • Advanced supply chain (inventory, capacity, and network) planning skills

  • Extensive Excel experience

  • Operational Experience with planning systems (ie. ERP/APS systems)

  • Experience in managing and developing solutions for supply chain events.

  • Capacity management & modelling

  • Understanding of supply chain planning parameters, master data, and master data integrity & quality.

  • Experience in collaboration with the key interfaces within the end-to-end supply chain, with manufacturing, and between supply chain and commercial functions - experience working with third-party suppliers would be a bonus.

  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills are required to manage a multitude of customers and stakeholders, both internal and external to Cytokinetics.

  • Proficient in using key Lean Tools

  • Analytical and Digital savvy (data & system minded)

  • Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

  • Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis

  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources

  • Experience working with machine learning algorithms and AI

  • Ability to use and customize data visualization platforms, including Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience with data science and machine learning

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.

Salary Pay Range

$162,000-$197,000 USD
