Job Summary

This position is currently responsible for the administration of the financial systems Workday (WD) and Cadency. The position will reside in our corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC reporting to the Director of Internal Accounting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist teams with their specific day to day processes and any errors that occur in WD and Cadency

  • Add/Remove/Change elements of the finance data model (FDM) in WD

  • Update/change business processes in WD

  • Assist WD Program Manager with establishing priorities for the Finance area

  • Assist WD Program Manager with the rollout of periodic updates to our production tenant for finance

  • Perform testing on new processes that affect finance

  • Coordinate with the company administrator on new company setups

  • Assist with updating NCI percentages quarterly, if needed

  • Ensure that select monthly GL balances are uploaded to Cadency each month

  • Assign new GL accounts/Companies to reconcilers and approvers

  • Lead other special projects, as assigned


  • 3-5 years relevant accounting experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • Experience with Workday Finance Administrator role

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills used for the collection and communication of information

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills

  • Self-motivated; able to work independently and communicate effectively across company locations and organizational lines

  • Be open to change, and when required, embrace change

It all begins with you. Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. This position will be part of a team that provides business analysis and testing coordination for all projects, initiatives, and production support for the General Ledger reporting and Regulatory Data Repository (RDR) tools of the Controller's Division in Corporate Finance. This BSC 5 acts as a liaison and consultant between Corporate/LOB Finance teams, technical partners, QA team, and Project Management for Corporate Finance by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Focus will be on projects and initiatives that impact the General Ledger and the Regulatory Data Repository systems supporting Accounting Engine and V4 source systems. The position primarily focuses on supporting the General Ledger Tools supporting Reconciliation, GL Maintenance, and Financial Monitoring & Control. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: * Providing assistance to identify, evaluate, and develop solutions that are cost effective and meet or exceed business requirements. * Working with end-users, business partners, and cross-functional teams to provide project support, resolve questions, assess needs, and recommend changes. * Providing production support, testing, validating changes, writing requirements, documentation, and change management related to tool releases and other needs. * Working with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. * Documenting system requirements and high-level designs. Preparing specifications for system changes. Recommending and initiating systems testing. * Identifying dependencies and assessing change impact for new platform enhancements and system integrations. * Manage end to end integrated testing. * Coordinate communication plans, test strategies, test plans, and detailed test execution schedules. * Lead meetings during all phases of project to facilitate testing across all involved groups and applications. * Lead discussions with partners to resolve testing challenges and provide solutions to complex test problems in coordination with BA, Tech, and QA teams. Required Qualifications * 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, accounting concepts, controls, and methodologies * Knowledge and understanding of Quality Center/ALM, Quick Test Professional and ClearQuest * Knowledge and understanding of system testing including: creating plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and identifying expected results * Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): all phases and types of testing * 4+ years of JIRA experience * Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy * Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills * Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods Other Desired Qualifications * 4 year degree in Business or Technology * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills * Strong skillset in coordinating and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously * Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio for document preparation and presentations * Demonstrated experience in assessing, translating, and communicating abstract ideas/issues into detail documents * Quality assurance methodologies, standards and best practices * Quality assurance experience related to coordination of integrated testing efforts * Strong understanding of financial reporting systems, GL Actuals and Averages, Reconciliation of System Data to General Ledger, and reporting hierarchies * Experience managing changes through the Enterprise Change Management process * Knowledge of basic SQL and query writing to research and troubleshoot application issues Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
