Job Title: Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Summary:

Manage data analytics & reporting leveraging various data sources including Salesforce, Pardot,

CRM (Sales Force), Email Execution platform (Pardot), Web Traffic data (Google Analytics) and other third-party data sources. Partner with manager on Strategy and execute on the Analysis, Insights, and Reporting. Become the business support. The Associate Director will also provide financial and analytical support to our Global Marketing Team.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Create strategic and dynamic dashboards (both in PowerBI and Salesforce), reports, and slides by partnering with your manager and business owners.

  • Act as the subject matter expert on the Business Intelligence tool (Microsoft PowerBI)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all internal data sources (SalesForce, Pardot, Google Analytics, Brightscope etc.)

  • Make suggestions for dashboards and reports based on an intimate knowledge of what data is available

  • Work closely with CRM administrators and IT developers on projects effectively translate business needs into technical solutions and provide advice on data structures needed to accurately perform analysis

  • Ensure that the correct data is being used for reporting/analytics and have in-depth knowledge of data nuances and irregularities

  • Analyze future data feeds/sources in order to determine which one will create the highest ROI

  • If new data sources are brought in house, work with CRM administrators and IT to ensure implementation and data extraction is set up in a way to best enable reporting

  • Aid in the effort of data governance by raising data errors and assist with resolution

  • Responsible for training SalesForce users on how to access reports and dashboard

  • Work on ad hoc data reporting requests

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of data analytics experience, specifically in a CRM platform and/or other data platforms to support day to day sales and marketing programs targeting customers and prospects including working with data providers, data cleaning, data governance, segmentation, analysis and reporting

  • Expertise in the Microsoft PowerBI tool

  • Quantitative and Analytical acumen

  • SQL knowledge a plus

  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects at the same time

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work across all levels

  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point required

  • Knowledge and familiarity with industry software and analytical tools such as: SalesForce, Pardot, Google Analytics, etc

The Office of the Provost is the central academic administrative office responsible for providing University oversight and guidance related to the academic mission, programming, policy, and resource allocation and fiscal management. The Director reports to the Vice Provost for Academic Planning and Administration and is a key leader in financial planning and the effective management of resources for the academic enterprise. The Director works closely with the Associate Provost for Institutional Research, Data Analysis and Planning and the Director of Academic Operations and Planning in order to provide a holistic fiscal strategy and plan for the effective allocation, and use of funding in the academic areas of the University. Responsibilities ●Serve as a key leader working with the Office of Finance and Business in the planning, development, and implementation of a university-wide budget model and budget process that recognizes the campus mission, vision and strategic priorities as well as the University’s reliance on a tuition-driven budget model. ●In collaboration with the Director for Academic Operations and Planning, identify and analyze financial and space factors to ensure planning for the support of academic initiatives is effective and uses human, space, and financial resources efficiently. ●Lead efforts for the development of financial strategies and alternative financial models that address academic priorities in alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan. ●Develop a revised business plan model for new programs and program modifications that allows for a comprehensive assessment of the financial viability. Develop a methodology for on-going monitoring and assessment of programs on an annual basis. ●Partner with the Office of Institutional Research to improve our current fiscal, human resources (Workday), and academic (Banner) data systems to appropriately account for the cost of academic programs. ●Partner with the Office of Finance and Business to develop uniform revenue and expense statements for all University Centers, Institutes, and other academic entities and provide an annual detailed analysis of performance. ●In collaboration with key stakeholders across the University, assist in the development of new academic goals and direction for the institution by providing fiscal analyses of proposed initiatives. ●Work closely with the Vice Provost, Office of Institutional Research, Director of Academic Operations and Planning, and the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management to establish a multi-year, comprehensive enrollment strategy, including systematic reporting of enrollment and net tuition revenue (NTR) actual to targets. While working collaboratively, ensure that the comprehensive enrollment strategy be based on institutional academic priorities, and include the most effective use of financial aid. ●Work closely with the Vice Provost on other ad hoc financial analysis and models.
