We believe that our lead product candidate, APL-2, has the potential to be a first-in-class treatment targeting C3 that may address the limitations of existing treatment options or provide a treatment option where there currently is none. APL-2 has already shown activity that we believe is clinically meaningful in clinical trials for two distinct medical conditionsgeographic atrophy in age-related macular degeneration (GA) and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). We plan to conduct additional clinical trials in GA, PNH, autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) and complement-dependent nephropathies.
Associate Director, Field Operations & Analytics
Serve as the lead for the field force readiness team which is responsible for coordinating all activities in support of a successful Apellis field team onboarding experience, training, and operationalization
Responsible for designing and implementing the fleet vehicle program across US commercial and medical affairs field resources
Act as the representative of the commercial team for the Veeva field CRM requirements gathering, testing, and implementation
Gain alignment on the design and implementation of the incentive compensation programs for all field role in the pre- and post-launch periods
Partner with US Marketing and Sales leads to develop and deliver field performance reporting and subnational analytics to identify actionable insights to improve performance
Implementing field force call planning, call reporting and customer segmentation and targeting tools for the field force
Develop and maintain changes to field territory alignments
Works with IT and sales leadership to ensure that Apellis and competitor performance data is accurately reflected in incentive compensation calculations and rankings
Work with field teams to maintain updates to customer master attributes utilized for incentive compensation and sales reporting, such as prescriber alignment address and specialty
Identify and implement improvements to customer master data quality; identify variances and issues with data integrity to ensure proper and compliant communication of data
High Analytical Horsepower ability to source, manipulate, analyze using standard tools (Excel) to effectively present and defend analyses
Strong Project / Deliverable Management ability to deliver moderately complex analytical investigations and cross-functional projects with limited guidance

Market Research Knowledge / Experience experience leading and/or managing vendors performing qualitative / quantitative market research from design and analysis to distillation and presentation of results

Minimum 4 years relevant experience within a life sciences company or consulting firm supporting the healthcare industry
Consulting background preferred
Solid understanding of commercial business and industry standard datasets focus on brand marketing for HCP customers
Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including advanced Excel modeling skills
Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure PowerPoint deliverables
Strong communication and project management skills
