Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Executive Education, the Associate Director, Events and Alumni Engagement is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing an Executive Education events strategy with in-person and online events that will generate new leads, nurture prospects, increase past participant ("alumni') engagement, add value to corporate buyers, promote faculty research, and support new program launches. The Associate Director, Events and Alumni Engagement will also develop and implement a past participant ("alumni") engagement strategy to increase repeat purchase and referrals.

This role within the marketing team in Executive Education requires both strategic thinking and operational excellence. The Associate Director is responsible for planning, designing and diligently executing all plans to successfully host events and launch engagement programs within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

1.Develop and implement an overarching events strategy that leverages in-person and online (webinar / live stream) formats to support business objectives. Research markets to identify opportunities for events ? both in house and in partnership with external organizations.
2.Create and maintain an annual calendar of events to support key sectors and key clients.
3.Create detailed proposals (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets); agree to and manage budgets). Ensure that all insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are adhered to.
4.Identify and secure speakers, faculty or other guests; liaise with the School's Public Relations team to propose and/or secure relevant speaker engagements at external conferences, as relevant.
5.Research and secure venues; coordinate with venue management, caterers, stand designers, and contractors, as needed. Work closely with the program management team and external vendors to secure and coordinate staffing requirements and run of show details.
6.Work across teams to create and traffic all marketing assets including but not limited to pre-onsite, and post-event communications, collateral (print, video, and digital), etc. Manage the production of attendee materials.
7.Manage the onsite and day-of logistics including but not limited to client management, participant queries, material distribution, room set-up, and general troubleshooting.
8.Manage list development and Salesforce processes (system of record), generate post-event evaluations and analysis for event stakeholders.
9.Develop and implement a past participant ("alumni") engagement strategy that is measurable, adaptable and scalable in order to increase repeat purchase and referrals. Identify most valuable customers in order to create customized communications to increase customer engagement.
10.Create and maintain an alumni engagement calendar that includes but is not limited to direct mail, email marketing, social media, and incentives. Create an alumni community leveraging new or existing platforms (i.e. Salesforce or other systems / apps).
11.Implement a wide-scale alumni community recruitment campaign targeting past participants. Lead community engagement; engage Executive Education team members to become contributors; provide best practices and branding guidance. Monitor community engagement to optimize communications tactics.
12.Perform other related duties and travel as needed. Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be used to establish professional working relationships with both internal stakeholders and colleagues, external partners, clients, delegates, and vendors. Must understand consumer segmentation and B2B vs B2C sectors.

Detailed oriented, a self-starter and problem solver with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate anticipates opportunities and challenges, takes initiative to identify and implement creative solutions, and works well under deadlines and pressure. Candidate should be able to analyze and present financial information.

Fluency in MS office suite a must and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies (i.e. CRM/ databases and internet publishing tools).

A significant amount of work is in external venues which is an integral part of this role and overnight stays in conference venues and hotels are a requirement. The candidate must be able to independently work offsite, remotely and must be able to travel.

These periods may include evening and weekend hours. Special Instructions Preferred Qualifications 4 years of experience in events management at a national or international level strongly preferred. Our innovative curriculum allows students to complete both their undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees in seven years. CSOM will graduate its first MD class in 2020. CSOM also has a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies (PA). Our mission is to provide access to medical education to talented youth from social, ethnic and racial backgrounds historically underrepresented in medicine and to develop health professionals committed to practicing in under-served communities with a special emphasis on primary care. As a growing school, our philanthropic areas of growth will be in student scholarships and support to our educational and research missions. Reporting to the Dean of CSOM, the Executive Director - Institutional Advancement (Development and Alumni Relations) will be a valued member of the senior management team. Working collaboratively with the leadership of the college's foundation and Office of Institutional Advancement and Communications, s/he will coordinate, develop and implement an overarching strategy for fundraising at CSOM that encompasses both short- and long-term philanthropic goals. S/he will have fundamental responsibility for securing major gifts and cultivating donors who have the capacity to give at the seven-figure level and above. This position is also responsible for providing oversight and management of alumni relations and communications initiatives, both external and internal.
