AstraZeneca is looking to hire an Associate Director, Data Management Operations to join the Data Management & Operations team within Strategic Field Operations (SFO).

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for aligning our data management capabilities to the business strategy while reinforcing the value of data as a competitive asset critical to enabling Commercial decision making.

  • Focus on Master Data Management (Commercial US), which includes Health Care Master (HCP, HCA, and Affiliations), Patient/Consumer Master (data for MCRM, Digital) and Product Master (Industry products including AZ products), CRM DCR Process, Data access, use, and effectiveness; data quality and process efficiency; budget and procurement; and overall data governance across the US Commercial functions.

  • Bring a foundation of data management & business acumen related to Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing.

  • Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional Areas, and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, well understood, and considered as part of operational efficiency and strategic planning.

  • Manage programs and projects in Life Sciences.

  • Focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Establishing business-first processes, cadence and engagement for the program management and data management capabilities

  • Manage, measure, present, and socialize Key Performance Indicators.

  • Support, shape, and partner with Data Management's key stakeholders across Brand teams, Sales Leaders, Insights & Analytics, Reporting, Market Access, Medical, Compliance, Legal, and IT.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in a relevant field

  • 6+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience

  • Experience working in a Data Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics environment.

  • Experience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong acumen in Data Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Analytics, and Customer Data Management processes, techniques, and best practices within the Life Sciences industry

  • Demonstrated program management experience in Life Sciences, driving and transforming multiple simultaneous programs delivering value for the commercial business and commercial operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and competing priorities in a complex matrixed environment.

  • Development of Data, Data Products, Engineering roadmap and capabilities

  • Ability to influence laterally and vertically.

  • Drive innovative solutions and automated dataflows and processes that deliver efficiencies across the commercial landscape.

  • Demonstrated experience shaping, establishing and/or redefining Commercial Data Management capabilities.

  • Strong process-oriented experience, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills; consultative background preferred.

  • Ability to meet deadlines plus identify, mitigate, and effectively call out risks.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.

  • Ability, want, and purpose to transform and shape the future of commercial operations and the value we bring.

  • Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of variety of secondary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony Health, etc.)
