About the Role

The Associate Director, Compliance will partner with the Compliance Department in developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Compliance Program that (1) supports and promotes a Companywide culture of ethics and compliance, and (2) meets or exceeds applicable regulatory standards for effective compliance programs, including the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Guidance, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and the Department of Justice guidance. As a member of a collaborative team, the Associate Director, Compliance will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of all elements of the Tarsus Compliance program.

Let's talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Design and launch processes to support implementation of requirements outlined in company policies and procedures. Maintain processes through continuous monitoring of operational effectiveness, assessment and redesign or enhancement as needed.

  • Conduct virtual and live compliance training to internal colleagues and external vendors.

  • Assist with management of the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Management of HCP engagement processes and requirements. Providing ongoing support for the Company by assisting with employee questions and concerns, and HCP engagement approvals.

  • Management of external funding (e.g., sponsorships) processes. Providing ongoing support for the Company by assisting review committees with request management to ensure alignment with policies and procedures.

  • Support management of compliance auditing and monitoring activities including planning and execution of field-based monitoring activities at live and virtual events/programs and compliance audits.

  • Development and implementation of compliance reporting tools and metrics to facilitate management oversight of compliance within Tarsus.

  • Develop reports periodically to identify potential risks or compliance trends.

  • Assist the Compliance Officer with other projects and tasks as needed.

Factors for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant compliance experience in Life Sciences or related Consulting

  • Proficient in Federal Healthcare Program requirements and FDA requirements

  • Certification of Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) a plus

  • Demonstrated strong ethics and integrity

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal partners across all levels and work well in teams

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Self-starter and proactive

  • Some travel may be required - up to 15%

At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $138,700 - $194,300 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
