Job Overview

The Associate Director on the Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team supports the mission of Georgetown University by fostering lifelong engagement between alumni and Georgetown, and by increasing philanthropic support for the university's future. The CPRC team works with over 800 alumni volunteers to increase class-based engagement and giving through peer-to-peer outreach. CPRC is, as a whole, responsible for establishing class fundraising goals, recruiting and developing volunteers, identifying donors, hosting world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engaging alumni and students in class-based fundraising and engagement.

The Associate Director manages class engagement and giving strategies for five undergraduate alumni classes, and is also a part of the team responsible for strengthening and growing the overall class volunteer program, including the strategies for volunteer recruitment, resources, and stewardship.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage volunteers for five undergraduate alumni class committees

  • Develop internal & external fundraising and engagement goals & strategies for all classes managed

  • Tailor and implement engagement and solicitation strategies for each class

  • Conduct semi-complex analysis of class performance

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Director, Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns, the Associate Director is an integral part of the CPRC team, which is responsible for strengthening and growing the overall class volunteer program, including the strategies for volunteer recruitment, resources, and stewardship.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position's mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a development/fundraising environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and exemplary oral and communication skills

  • Time management skills, attention to detail, and an interest in higher education or non-profit philanthropy

  • Intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of Georgetown University

  • Desire to work in a team environment

  • A proven ability to meet or exceed goals

  • A motivated self-starter

  • Professional and collegial demeanor and ability to exercise diplomacy

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once with minimal supervision

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications

  • Comfort with understanding and performing semi-complex metrics and analysis

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Experience working with customers and/or volunteers

  • Ability to handle confidential matters on a regular basis
