ArsenalBio's mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. With our programmable and computationally driven approach, our team is engineering living medicines to attack cancer's inherent multi-faceted nature and overcome the challenges of addressing solid tumors with cell therapy.

Driven by a collective of diverse experts across immunology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, automation and computational biology, we are united in purpose to deliver radical breakthroughs for people with cancer, and prioritize the team's outcomes over individual goals to achieve our company mission - together.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead cell line development at ArsenalBio. Reporting to the Vice President of Preclinical Pharmacology, this role requires substantial expertise in cell line engineering and development. Deep knowledge and extensive experiences in oncology target biology and drug discovery is also highly desirable. The successful individual will not only oversee and lead the cell line development group but work closely with project teams throughout Discovery and Preclinical Development to design and generate engineered cell lines in support of preclinical programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a group of scientists that provides centralized support for cell line generation

  • Lead the development, application and optimization of new technologies for modifying the genomes of mammalian cells

  • Employ strategies for the genetic modification of cell lines

  • Lead activities in generating and maintaining master and working cell bank inventories across a portfolio of engineered cell lines

  • Lead analysis and QC processes on cell lines at the DNA and protein level

  • Provide expert support for cell line engineering experiment design and assay development to the broader scientific team.

  • Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning.

  • Interpret and effectively execute experiments in line with project timelines and goals

  • Maintain familiarity with current literature related to the scope of ArsenalBio's research focus

  • Mentor scientists within the group in areas of technical expertise

What You Will Bring:

  • PhD in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academia

  • Expertise with CRISPR gene editing and lentiviral transduction workflows, cell engineering and cell culture

  • Experience developing/optimizing gene editing protocols

  • Experience analyzing mammalian cells by flow cytometry for target surface expression

  • Experience with Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)

  • Entrepreneurial behaviors demonstrated by agility, accountability, transparency, resourcefulness, and ability to get things done

  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results

  • Flexible mindset with ability to think outside the box, creative approach to problem solving, and comfort in working with ambiguous data in an open-ended, exploratory process

  • Demonstrated ability to perform as a team player, with strong organizational skills, record keeping and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)

What We Will Offer You:

An opportunity to work with the best talent in the field of cell therapy, and be part of ONE TEAM to advance therapies to patients who need it most.
