The Associate Director, Category Brand Marketing will be responsible for creating the strategic marketing growth plan for Sam's Club members as it relates to the Fresh, Freezer and Cooler Merchandise Area. You will manage a robust marketing calendar that drives visits and sales of existing members leveraging the merchandise attributes and communicating the value of Sam's Club. As the business owner you will work with a cross functional team to develop and execute multi-channel marketing programs that support the merchants in achieving their sales plan. Manages corporate brand by ensuring marketing (for example, radio, signage, newspaper, direct mail, mobile, online) represents company brand; directing suppliers on marketing efforts to ensure fit with brand strategy; ensuring agencies are producing work that reflects and communicates company strategies and objectives; and working with agencies to develop strategic plans and goals for overall marketing calendar and specific campaigns. Drives the department's planning and innovation process to increase sales, membership, and penetration growth of key business initiatives by ensuring the integration and alignment of multiple internal and external teams; leading cross-functional planning processes; developing and managing tools to communicate plans internally and externally; capturing results and data from marketing campaigns and programs; and managing processes to communicate and cascade results to leverage learnings for future campaigns and programs. Develops and manages marketing systems and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness by selecting, evaluating, developing, implementing and managing systems and tools to support marketing processes; and collaborating with other business areas to ensure system requirements interface with existing systems and processes. Ensures continued financial management of key initiatives by managing the overall budget; monitoring overall return-on-investment expectations for marketing programs; and measuring results to determine if sales and membership expectations are met. Develops and manages supplier partnerships on new and existing initiatives by serving as a direct point of contact; collaborating to develop key strategies; and negotiating and overseeing supplier marketing budget allocations.
