Position Description

The Associate Director, Business Technology will lead and support the critical processes of Allergan's IT Management Operations framework focusing on running the business of IT and continuously improving IT's operations to deliver business value. This position will work closely with and support senior management / executive leadership.

The Associate Director, Business Technology will be accountable for:

Performance Enablement

  • Identifying IT metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) working with IT Governance and Operations.

  • Publishing metrics and KPIs including trending and external comparison to measure IT performance.

  • Providing thought leadership and innovative ideas that can lead to improvement in Allergan IT's processes and ways of working.

Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures

  • Providing PMO services on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures relative to all IT activities.

Vendor Management

  • Managing the periodic review and performance of a strategic partnership

Providing transparency to contingent worker staffing and help drive utilization of existing managed service providers.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a complex matrix organization and establish strong working relationships with business and IT leadership

  • Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet objectives while simultaneously assigned to many tasks

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Possesses a professional manner and can work independently

  • Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables

Preferred Skills/Qualification

  • Experience with Portfolio and Project Management tools a plus

  • PMP Certification is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with at least ten (10) years IT project management and/or business systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or MBA Candidate preferred.
