The Role in Brief:

Associate Director, Account Management

The Associate Director, Account Management (internally titled Associate Director, Accounts & Strategy) will serve as the primary contact and ultimate point of accountability responsible for leading digital and web content vision with the Agency's clients (partners) and cross-departmental EAB teams, from strategy through execution, ensuring connectedness across multiple Agency and EAB service offerings.

This role will be focused on best-in-class partnership management, working closely with cross-functional teams; range of work for this role includes managing a variety of digital product offerings including website content strategy, SEO audits, virtual tour integrations, paid search campaigns, and larger website redesigns. The successful candidate will have a solid applicable understanding of how a website functions and attracts traffic, be relentlessly focused on successful outcomes for our partner's web-related needs, and comfortable in a fast-paced, still-evolving entrepreneurial environment.

This role can be based remotely within the U.S. or at any EAB office location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead partner meetings, build strategies, and be a respected advisor for the partner on all aspects of their web and digital landscape

  • Gather, understand, synthesize, and communicate critical information about our clients' products, market, competitors, and customers, pulling insights from a variety of sources (e.g., user testing results, market trends, competitive research, analytics, etc.) to ensure that we are designing and building with a clear view of the big picture and context

  • Ensure Agency services exceed expectations and that delivery is on strategy and meets partner goals

  • Set the long-term vision and strategy for our partners' digital products and services and write strategic briefing documents that clearly communicate those expectations and goals

  • Play an active role in growing the scope of work for accounts and lead partner onboarding and initial discovery sessions, revisiting goals quarterly/annually to roadmap plans

  • Deliver clear and concise communication with internal teams and ensure everyone is on the same page for the project with clear actions and timelines

  • Manage and mentor assigned account coordinators and planners as the team grows

  • Represent EAB and the Agency team at industry conferences and networking events

  • Stay abreast of consumer trends and behaviors across generations and technologies

  • Partner with and report to the senior director of the team to identify partner opportunities, scope projects, and find solutions to internal and external challenges

  • Share partner status at internal Agency traffic meetings and through other team channels

Travel Expectation (in Person):

  • Up to 10 - 15% (when EAB travel resumes - maximizing activities at national meetings and conferences as well as campus visits where applicable)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience developing strategies for websites or digital products or services

  • 3+ years of account management experience, preferably with an emphasis in digital channels

  • Strong understanding of, and ability to stay current with, digital trends and technologies

  • Experience pulling insights from user and market research, analytics, digital maturity assessments, and competitive analysis to develop strategic recommendations

  • Experience effectively communicating vision, goals, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional team members at various levels of an organization, including executive leadership

  • Proven experience with successful product and service launches

  • Experience launching and tracking performance of a web campaign

  • A flexible, collaborative, and positive mindset

  • Strong interest to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment

  • Ability to handle multiple and simultaneous deadlines

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Current understanding of website design and development methodologies

  • Current understanding of popular technologies and emerging platforms

  • Experience with customer journey mapping, content strategy, and analytics

  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and Google Search Console

  • Experience working in the education industry

  • Commitment to valuing diversity, practicing inclusive behaviors, and contributing to an equitable working and continual learning environment in support of EAB's DE&I Promise
