Enterprise Platforms are engines of growth for the company providing capabilities that power almost all key customer facing experiences to our Credit Card, Loan and Banking customers. One of key objectives Enterprise Platforms are driving at is develop a best-in-class Product & Pricing Catalogue that would enable American Express to launch new customer facing products and experiences with unparalleled flexibility and dramatically improved speed to market globally across all countries American Express operates in.

Our mission is to accelerate the pace of financial innovation and build new financial products for American Express at unprecedented speed by streamlining the process of launching and iterating on financial products.

Responsibilities

  • Function as member of an Agile Scrum team focused on the management and delivery of a technical backlog.

  • Articulates what success looks like and rally a high-performing team.

  • Lead/Participate in scrum team ceremonies.

  • Prioritizes and maintains the team sprint backlog consistent with the outcomes and product roadmap.

  • Ensure quality of team output ensuring results are properly tested.

  • Coordinates communications and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied associated with the backlog.

  • Proactively highlights blockers and dependencies.

  • Supports in the prioritizing features and establishing forecasts for releases.

  • Research various platform related topics and provide input on the analysis of ideas and solutions.

  • Assists in the identification of technical gaps and collaborates with broader teams to facilitate resolution risks, identification of opportunities and changes for improvement.

  • Use analytical abilities and strategic perspective to identify trends & recommend solutions.

  • Maintain core critical platform metrics

  • Document processes and standards.

Minimum Qualification

  • At least 1-2 years in a product owner role

  • Financial services experience is preferred.

  • Technical acumen and experience in building Microservices

  • Experience and comfort partnering closely with engineering and data teams on product and technical requirements, documentation, testing, monitoring, and iteration.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills with senior stakeholders, with the ability to synthesize complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and shares responsibility for the team's success and progress.

  • Intellectually curious and passionate about technical subjects.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
