This Associate Developer is a member of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team in IT. The selected candidate will initially be a member of a project team focused on implementing document recognition software (Kofax Total Agility) to automate processing of all documents received by the company. This includes configuring KTA to recognize document types, extract data, and convert the document to PDF for retention in the document repository. It also includes writing custom code, primarily in C#, to integrate KTA with other upstream and downstream systems.
This team member will also have future opportunity to work with our other ECM technologies, which are used to capture, manage, compose, preserve, and deliver content and documents for the organization. This is a growth area at Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance.
Under direct supervision, write new code, and modify existing code, to satisfy system design requirements.
Adhere to applicable Ameriprise Auto & Home (AAH) programming standards.
Develop/maintain system documentation, as well as operations and user guides, as required.
Participate in design and code reviews, and promptly respond to all issues and suggestions.
Create and execute unit and system test plans based on requirements. Resolve test issues in a timely manner.
Support user acceptance testing by responding to questions from the testers, and promptly resolving all defects.
Move code through development and testing environments, and ultimately into production, using prescribed Dev Ops tools and procedures.
Develop working knowledge in all systems, processes and data relating to Enterprise Content Management, and other subject matters as assigned.
Develop and maintain development/programming expertise and identify and pursue areas for development and training that will enhance job performance via on the job learning and best practices from prior projects, training and peer learning.
Provide production support to the end-user and technical operations staff as required. Research system/application issues/problems within area/program(s) of responsibility and recommend innovative solutions to prevent recurrence.
