What You'll Be Doing

Cadmus seeks an Associate to join our Energy Services business unit, focused on decarbonization, energy efficiency, and electrification. Working as part of a highly collaborative and cross-functional team, you will support a wide range of clean energy, building and transportation electrification, decarbonization, grid resilience, and energy efficiency consulting projects. You will partner with experts in the fields of market research, policy and program design and implementation, stakeholder engagement, program planning, energy evaluation, and market transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research across a range of solar, wind, storage, EV, hydrogen, and heat pump projects, programs, and policies.

  • Serve as a technical advisor and project manager and work directly with clients and program applicants.

  • Communicate with stakeholders (residential and commercial customers and communities) via helpdesk phone and email channels.

  • Provide excellent project management, customer engagement, and communications services.

  • Support technical assistance requests and providing customer services to government staff, policymakers, utility clients, and industry representatives.

  • Summarize and communicate research results (in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and verbally).

  • Facilitate policy and technical exchanges with industry leaders, utility managers, and policymakers.

  • Work independently or with minimal supervision to support a variety of research tasks.

  • Contribute to data analytics or modeling exercises, as needed, including but not limited to energy-related project feasibility and financial analysis.

  • Support business development by contributing to and leading proposal efforts.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or master's degree in environmental science, business, economics, policy, planning, political science, engineering, or a related subject.

  • Eight to ten years of professional work experience in energy field (master's degree may be counted towards years of experience).

  • Desire to be a consultant and develop innovative solutions to client problems; committed to curiosity, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated interest in concepts related to solar, wind, storage, energy efficiency, EV, hydrogen, or beneficial electrification.

  • Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Passion for addressing society's most pressing energy, climate, social and investment challenges.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

  • Position will be a flexibly located position with the opportunity to be remote, hybrid, or in office.

  • Potential office locations include Boston (MA), Waltham (MA), New York City, Arlington (VA), Boulder (CO), Portland (OR), Madison (WI), Oakland (CA).

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $85,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
