FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York and prepares collaborative nurse leaders who practice in diverse communities with complex needs. The School of Nursing invites innovative and visionary nurse researchers to apply for the Associate Dean for Research and Rudin Professor of Nursing position. The successful candidate will be eligible for the rank of full professor with tenure andhave an active, sustained program of research with a proven track record of externally funded grants as well as scholarly publications and presentations.We are particularly interested in candidates whose program of research focuses on health equity, adult/gerontology, psychiatric mental health, and/or is based in the community.

The Associate Dean for Research/Rudin Professor of Nursing role will mentor faculty and students in their research and scholarship while maintaining their own active program of externally funded research. They willteach doctoral courses as appropriate and contribute their service to the school, college, university, and profession commensurate with the rank of full professor. This position includes responsibility for committee, administrative, supervisory, and/or other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. or other research doctoral degree in Nursing or related field and eligible for a tenured faculty appointment as full professor in the School of Nursing.If earned doctorate is not in nursing, must have a master's degree in nursing.

Prefered Qualifiactions

Prefer at least 5 years of advanced practice clinical experience, preferably in health centers serving under-resourced communities. New York State license as a registered nurse required.

Prefer New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure (Adult/Gerontology, Family, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). Will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, expertise in mentoring faculty and students, and exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The applicant's scholarship and academic teaching experience should align with the school mission of promoting wellness and championing health equity.

COMPENSATION

Salary commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience $124,646to $141,858.
