Area 23, an award winning agency, part of the FCB Health network is seeking an Associate Creative Director of copy for a key position on a brand recently launched indicated for the prevention of migraine.

The Associate Creative Director of copy oversees the copy teams and ensures quality of content and style to meet the client's marketing strategies and objectives. With their account partner, they share responsibility for brand strategy, team cohesion, client management, and creative quality. The ACD realizes that it's important to develop great work as well as develop great people.

Bring and maintain knowledge and understanding of client's products, their marketing objectives, and the promotional activities of similar or competitive products to evaluate work in light of current marketing environment. Understanding marketing plans including objectives and strategies and how success will be measured. Contribute innovative ideas and tactics appropriate to client marketing strategy. Participate in strategic and tactical meetings to develop effective campaign reflecting the clients objectives. Generate new and innovative creative strategies and ideas to meet creative objectives.

Oversee the team from inception to final product and ensures quality of content and style to meet clients marketing strategies and objectives

Develop smart, single-minded ideas that are on strategy. Works collaboratively with creative and account partners. Direct members of staff to ensure proper production of campaign elements.

Oversee workflow and conceptual direction for the account.

Develop overall marketing strategies. Evaluate creative strategy and execution of all new work.

Collaborate and communicate with team members in a productive manner to ensure goals are being met and to attain/maintain creative vision outlined for the agency.

Participates in interviewing and hiring process to ensure finding a right fit and talent.

Demonstrate the ability to hire and retain highly capable people while fostering diversity and career development.

Ensure creative employees are billable and fully utilized to increase productivity and efficiency

Responsible for establishing and maintaining the reputation of the company as a creative leader

Develop strong client relationships through participation in market research, presenting creative concept development, and strategic direction

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

  • 7 healthcare advertising experience mandatory

  • Portfolio demonstrates work commensurate with the position

SKILLS & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Effective oral and written communications skills

  • Develop Client rapport and trust

  • Managerial skills

  • Ability to work well within a team setting

  • Exhibits decisive problem solving abilities

  • Demonstrate a level of leadership that commands attention from all disciplines in the agency that they are capable of consideration as a creative director

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field

VIEW JOBS 1/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-15T00:00 JOB SUMMARY Position designed to provide training and acclimation of entry-level editor to editorial role and responsibilities in a pharma agency environment. Begins with no discrete account assignments; support (largely proofreading) is provided to Editors/Senior Editors until Associate Editor is fully attuned to process and expectations. With satisfactory performance small account assignments are eventually delegated, and continued positive performance should ultimately lead to comprehensive Editorial role. Starting hours may be day (9am-5pm), swing (12pm-8pm), or second shift (4pm-12am) depending on agency need. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Assists Editors/Senior Editors with proofreading tasks o Full reads at key stages (eg, mechanical, first dev round, printer's proofs) o Correction checks/slugs * Performs cold reads at discretion of Editorial Manager * Functions as Editor on assigned brands when baseline training is completed * Composes EOD report for day/night staff * Works with immediate supervisor and Editorial Director to become fully conversant with agency process and best practices REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS * Some knowledge of medical terminology and AMA style desirable * Competency in current and relevant computer-related technologies and applications (Adobe Acrobat Pro, electronic routing platforms, etc) EDUCATION * Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience required EXPERIENCE * 0-1 years of proofreading/editing/related experience in an agency or similar environment OTHER INFORMATION Note that position may entail work beyond hours specified, including after hours or weekends, as needed or directed.
