We are seeking a Visual Design Lead / Associate Creative Director to be a catalyst in the future of our Digital Experience business in Retail, Airlines, Hospitality, Restaurant/QSR and CPG. This position is focused on the commercial (pitch) side of the business and upfront delivery of projects to solidify strategy + design and will play a lead role in shaping transformational visions and end to end digital concepts that strategically accelerate our clients' business. In this role, the Design Lead will work across both digital and physical, at the intersection of Experience and Intelligent Decisioning, to craft market leading points of view around next generation engagement. The ideal candidate is a technology optimist who believes in the power of AI, IOT, XR, Blockchain, Edge Computing, etc. to enable the experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interdisciplinary team: Partner with Experience, Technology and Strategy Leads who are passionate about the evolution of design, future of digital experiences and the potential of emerging technologies.

• Lead and Mentor: Guide more junior team members through the pitch process, from ideation to concept to prototype; Lead teams in the initial phase of awarded work to fully establish the strategic framework and design direction for delivery.

• Shape Compelling Narratives and Own the Design Direction: Work with a variety of assets to tell stories using different mediums (scripts, video, motion, digital and physical prototypes, etc). Shape final pitch narrative and all associated creative explorations.

• Show - Don't Tell: Prototype, Prototype, Prototype - in any and all forms, using non-traditional methods - be experimental and iterative.

• Develop Thought Leadership: Help develop POVs on the Future of Experiences for airlines, hotels, restaurants, retailers, and CPGs - spanning themes such as consumer engagement, placemaking, the role of XR, etc.

Qualifications

• The aptitude and interest to embrace complex business challenges and translate them into elegant creative solutions, moving beyond product design or ecosystems and into designing intelligently orchestrated experiences.

• A love for the art of the pitch and a desire to win through shaping a compelling story that balances the creative vision with the business objectives.

• An unconstrained thinker with a strong background in visual design / visual communication.

• A critical eye for design and a passion to elevate design across all mediums and modalities.

• Experience with both commercial and delivery roles across the digital landscape with an emphasis on concepting / ideation and vision work.

Requirements

• 10 years + experience working at creative agencies or similar background.

• Prior experience pitching / shaping pitches and working in interdisciplinary teams

• Led and guided teams from ideation to concept to prototype

• Bachelor's degree required OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• A tool-agnostic interest in pushing design to communicate the opportunities of the near-future

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 06/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $138,990 - $192,610 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
