We are currently seeking a talented Associate Creative Director of Art to join our growing team of pharmaceutical advertising professionals. Role Summary

The Associate Creative Director, Art, plays a key creative role leading an integrated team of writers and designers. The ACD, Art will report to the Creative Director and will manage all aspects of art and design for the assigned brand. This person demonstrates exceptional talent in developing a sophisticated, cohesive and consistent aesthetic across all brand materials, along with strong conceptual thinking and innovative approaches to tactical execution. This is a hands-on role with an equal mix of creating work while also growing and nurturing a team. The ACD will work with a Creative Director to lead client relationships and develop overall brand strategy, and champion creativity and advance design for their clients and the agency. In addition, this person will partner with Copy, Account, Strategic Planning, Media, Technology and Business Development to shape new opportunities for existing and new clients in the pharma and tech space.

Required skills and experience

  • 7-9+ years of industry experience, pharma preferred, in increasingly managerial creative roles with a proven track record of success.

  • Able to lead and direct a creative team from concept to completion.

  • Outstanding art direction and design experience across a variety of media including digital, social, collateral, print, broadcast, corporate comms, etc.

  • Visual Design background; great systematic design / multichannel experience as well as campaign / storytelling abilities.

  • A passion for social media, online marketing and jaw-dropping digital design.

  • Candidates must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques.

  • Expert in Adobe CS.

  • Superior communication, organization and time management skills.

  • A passion for managing and mentoring others to help them perform at their peak and grow in their careers.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.

  • BA or higher in Design, Art Direction, Communications, or a related field preferred.

As an AAD, you will partner with our creative and account teams in the design and production of digital marketing pieces. You will take part in job briefs and help define, refine, and execute designs through rounds and build comprehensives for client presentations. You will create and optimize emails, landing pages, responsive websites, display ads, direct mail, and new business presentations. What you'll do: * Responsible for helping refine the design of projects * Communication and interaction with account teams to ensure design remains consistent with clients expectations and campaign strategy and client brand guidelines * Collaborate with Sr. Art Directors to produce design materials * Work closely with copywriters to develop creative concepts * Ensure concepts, rounds and final mechanicals are accurate and error free, including file construction, organization and prepping of files * Support and back-up Production Artists to ensure the accurate release of final mechanicals to agency vendors by the agreed deadline * Remain up-to-date on the latest developments in software applications, printing techniques and production technology * Assess and implement latest industry developments with existing creative to ensure accurate and error free design * Maintain archives of final mechanicals and photography files Who you are: * Skilled and efficient in the use of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, including the ability to make changes quickly and accurately * After Effects knowledge is a big plus * Understanding of strategic direction * Excellent conceptual and design skills * Understanding of graphic design, including page layout, typography and illustration * Ability to assess latest developments in software applications, printing techniques and production * Proficiency in photo editing, color correction, and image manipulation * Highly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail * Work well as a team player in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced environment * Excellent visual and verbal communication skills Education/Experience: * Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience * Portfolio focused on digital marketing campaigns and responsive website design; mobile application design is a plus * 1-3 years experience in a design role, within a marketing, advertising, or creative agency environment Rauxa New York NY
