Whole Foods Market (WFM) is part of the Amazon family, and we're excited about the many ways we are and will continue to work together to drive value for our customers. The Associate Creative Director (ACD) will lead the WFM and Prime Savings Program creative development for Amazon's owned and operated channels (e.g. gateway, destination pages, email, etc.) in support of key retail events (e.g. Mother's Day, Prime Day, Q4 Holidays, etc.), evergreen and seasonal messaging, and influence creative developed with internal partner teams. This person will work closely with the integrated marketing team's onsite marketing manager and internal and external creative teams to ensure the creative content aligns with the messaging strategy and content calendar and is optimized based on data. The ACD will engage with the central Prime design and onsite teams to ensure results and best practices are applied to the WFM/Prime content.

To be successful in this role, you need to be a hands on ACD who has a proven ability to motivate those around you with your vision and dedication to creative excellence. You will have successfully demonstrated the ability to translate business goals and customer data into inspiring designs. You have a proven track record for earning trust and influencing creatives across different teams and disciplines. You are a person that can think big and be practical and know when one is more important that the other.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the onsite marketing manager to understand the business objectives and content strategy.

  • Work with partner team's Creative Directors and design teams to develop design concepts and gather information, discuss alternatives, gain approval and review design specifications.

  • Fluency in moving from understanding and interpreting strategy to developing and producing concepts. This also building and refining brand design guidelines.

  • Create concepts, sketches, graphics and high-fidelity executions for marketing campaigns.

  • Present and defend your own work to your team, peers, stakeholders and senior executives.

  • Working with UX and engineers to ensure creative concepts can be executed and are optimized for the customer journey.

  • Understand and respond to performance data and steer the direction of future creative designs.

You are a talented ACD who is responsible for leading concept development and the translation and extension of concepts into effective visual designs for interactive marketing, online campaigns, web and motion-based projects. Under the direction of a Creative Lead (CD), you will work hands-on on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development. You will be responsible for planning and executing portions of projects independently or in conjunction with junior creative staff or freelancers. You will be involved in new business projects. You work independently, with limited oversight from your manager. Someone with strong conceptual and hands on design skills, with a broad knowledge of interactive/digital experiences including web and mobile. You will put your obsession for detail and pixel perfect execution to the test while working with copywriters to help execute cutting edge digital designs. We need a digital savvy Creative Director, able to design content for large screens, interactive and reactive screens. The ACD should be able to work and collaborate with Visual and Interaction Designers, Motion Designers and Editors, as well as Creative Technologists and Developers. And from storyboard to motion boards to shootings to the final touch. We need a strong designer, with extensive design skills and experience, who understands brands and branded content. We need a strong and articulated creative voice and representative–towards clients, but also within our Power of One team (in Seattle). The ACD will be the Creative Lead and representation for Publicis Sapient on a day-to-day base. The role needs to be proactive, collaborative, inspiring, and stand out as a leader living by example. RESPONSIBILITIES * Reports to Creative Director * Responsible for leading Creative teams in the successful creation and production of design solutions for one to two assigned accounts * Follows creative direction of senior Creative staff and Account staff * Plans and directs many aspects of assigned projects, and serves as an integral member of the Creative team * Accountable for managing a team of Creative talent, and leading them in the development of creative work that is consistently sound, of excellent caliber, and acceptable to the client * Mentors and leads assigned Creative staff, and is available to critique their work * Manages many internal details of assigned projects, including finding and/or choosing photographers, working and coordinating with Production and Account staff * Leads the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas * Participates as a Creative team member in new-business development efforts * Works with appropriate account representative on all projects * QUALIFICATIONS * MUST HAVE AGENCY BACKGROUND * Portfolio must include all digital (mobile, web) work * Experience with retail devices (in store screens, tablets, kiosks, etc) * Must be conceptual/an idea person as well as hands on * Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or Graphic Design * Minimum 5-7 years' experience * Recognized expertise in web/online/interactive design, with expert knowledge of the design programs required for that discipline * Solid knowledge of steps required in creative development process: provides guidance to achieve creative direction; gives timely and helpful coaching; and produces all work in a timely, cost-effective manner * Good presentation skills * Good people-management and coaching skills * Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience * Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills Publicis Sapient is a digital transformation partner helping established organizations get to their future, digitally-enabled state, both in the way they work and the way they serve their customers.
