Allied Universal is hiring a Associate Counsel, Employment Practices. The Associate Counsel - Employment Practices role is responsible for responding to and managing assigned administrative charges and attorney threats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft Statements of Position in response to allegations raised by investigative agencies

  • Respond to agency requests for additional information

  • Prep witnesses and attend fact finding conferences

  • Attend and represent the company at mediations

  • Respond to attorney threats of litigation

  • Negotiate settlements when necessary

  • Counsel and advise Human Resources and field personnel on employment law issues

  • Perform other duties as needed to support Labor and Employment legal function

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in any jurisdiction

  • Minimum of three (3) years of employment law experience

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with a large number of diverse internal groups, including all levels of employees, in-house legal counsel, external legal counsel, customers, government agency officials, consultants, and vendors

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, including attention to detail and a self-driven problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in team situations

  • High integrity, strong work ethic, customer-centric and able to handle multiple, simultaneous projects with attention to detail

  • Ability to drive deliverables and influence both internal and external customers in a team setting

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Previous national employment law experience

  • Prior experience in the security industry or other regulated industry
