JOB SUMMARY:

The Clemson University Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program is seeking applicants for an IPM Associate Coordinator Position to work with the IPM Coordinator and the South Carolina Crop Protection and Pest Management Extension Implementation Program. The IPM program provides support to statewide extension programs in IPM across a range of commodities, in addition to support to pest diagnostics facilities and IPM for pollinator health. A primary goal of the program is to transfer knowledge and competencies to South Carolina growers to implement cost-effective and environmentally friendly pest management practices.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Work with stakeholder groups to obtain input into Extension IPM program planning.

  • Assist with communication among project cooperators and stakeholders.

  • Help with evaluation of IPM programs and writing of reports on IPM efforts.

  • Develop websites and other outreach material promoting statewide IPM efforts.

  • Provide further assistance as needed in the Extension Implementation Program and the row crop entomology program at the Clemson University Pee Dee REC.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • B.S. in Biology or related field

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Master's Degree

  • Entomology, Pathology, Weed Science, or related field.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Anticipated Salary Range ($45,600 - $50,000)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
