What you'll be doing...

You'll uncover and create actionable insights to drive our strategies, business decisions and overall competitive advantage. The work you do will inspire us to bring the best solutions to both the business and consumer marketbecause of our enhanced understanding of their needs. You will design research, gathering primary and secondary research, managing our vendor partners, and ensuring that we get the best market insights to drive our decision making. By helping us understand and anticipate customer needs, you'll be shaping what's next for us.

  • Identify appropriate methodologies to address business questions.

  • Supervise or lead design of research programs to yield actionable insights.

  • Synthesizing information from various sources into meaningful insights.

  • Establish relationships with business partners.

  • Manage research agency partners and research projects from scoping to delivery.

  • Create process improvements to enhance CMI capability.

  • Craft and present actionable recommendations to business partners.

What we're looking for...

Digging into lots of data fascinates you and you know its real value is in the insights it provides. You have a consulting approach to really understand research needs and are able to create the right research solution. People trust and value your opinion. You're able to translate data into narratives, and tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience function and level to meet their needs. But you're not just about the numbersyou have a business mindset that makes your recommendations sound and practical.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and SPSS including experience pulling, manipulating and tabulating data.

  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

  • Analytical Skills - ability to apply solutions to complex problems and seek and analyze data and information to solve a business information problem.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Knowledge with Verizon business units and marketing organizations.

  • Knowledge of marketing departments, teamwork in a cross-functional and/or matrix organization and/or national/regional structure.

  • Knowledge and use of advertising and brand tracking, business KPI metrics.

  • Project Management Skills:
    capability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bring energy and collaboration to help the team deliver insights and research.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Articulate, confident and a team player type of attitude.

  • Ability to formulate and present actionable insights.

This manager will be part of the consumer segment marketing team supporting the development of segmentation led value propositions for our core wireless business. This role will manage the needs for new product and program development as well as market strategy and integration of services. You will need to possess strong financial understanding and ability to analyze data to build the business case. You will need to have experience in building requirements for segmentation and research. What we're looking for... You are comfortable with providing executive-ready market insights, recommendations on strategy, as well as opportunities that turn customer insights into actionable plans for various acquisition targets. You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Six or more years of relevant work experience. * Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies. * Experience working in the strategy management consulting industry. Even better if you have: * Master's degree – more impressive if you have an MBA. * Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level). Specifically around new value propositions & plans we take to market. * Analyzed what's important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities. You will create tools if they don't exist. * Designed custom research approaches to gain broader or deeper consumer and market insights. * Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
