What You'll Be Doing

As a Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) Tech at Lilly within the North American Logistics Operations (NALO) team, you will be at the forefront of our distribution efforts, ensuring the seamless flow of Lilly products and materials across the region. You will work within a dynamic environment that leverages cutting-edge technologies, including ERP SAP S/4, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Exacta warehouse execution systems (WES), automated picking solutions (AutoStore and ASRS). Moreover, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing efforts to incorporate additional automation and robotics, enhancing productivity and efficiency within our operations.

How You'll Succeed

  • Develop a deep understanding of NALO local applications and their intricacies to provide effective guidance and support.

  • Master the integration between local applications and warehouse automation, as well as with global/corporate applications like SAP S/4 and EWM, ensuring seamless operations.

  • Collaborate effectively with Tech at Lilly colleagues to identify solutions that meet business needs and objectives, fostering a cooperative and supportive team environment.

  • Investigate business requirements meticulously, analyze solution alternatives thoroughly, and propose optimal pathways forward, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Lead and execute small projects efficiently, delivering results within timelines and meeting quality benchmarks, demonstrating effective project management skills and delivering tangible outcomes.

  • Must have a combination of technical and soft skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement in communication, and problem-solving to address challenges and optimize our Tech at Lil Solutions

  • Must ensure documented processes and procedures are in place for all activities to meet quality and compliance standards. Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computer System Validation (CSV) regulations, will be vital in ensuring documented processes and procedures meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

  • Must have Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills are required to identify and address issues, optimize system performance, and enhance efficiency.

  • Must have Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring clear and concise communication of technical concepts and requirements.

What You Should Bring

  • Serving as the subject matter expert for NALO local applications, possessing in-depth knowledge of their functionalities and intricacies.

  • Understanding the integration between local applications and warehouse automation, as well as with global/corporate applications such as SAP S/4 and EWM.

  • Demonstrating a foundational understanding of SAP S/4 and EWM to facilitate testing data creation and troubleshoot potential issues.

  • Documenting warehouse hardware configuration comprehensively, encompassing printers, RF mobile devices, scales, and local bolt-ons for clarity and reference.

  • Supporting reengineering efforts and proactively identifying opportunities for Tech at Lilly to contribute to business value delivery.

  • Investigating business requirements meticulously, conducting thorough analyses of solution alternatives, and proposing optimal pathways forward.

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa, encompassing Business Intelligence and reporting needs for comprehensive understanding and alignment.

  • Implementing technical requirements using appropriate technology and solutions, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

  • Collaborating effectively with Tech at Lilly colleagues to identify solutions that effectively meet business needs and objectives.

  • Executing configuration and change management in alignment with Tech@Lilly expectations, defining precise testing requirements and providing support during test execution phases.

  • Ensuring strict adherence to applicable Lilly Standards and Quality rules, maintaining high standards of compliance and performance.

  • Utilizing Tech at Lilly Tools utilized by the NALO Tech at Lilly team proficiently, optimizing their functionality to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Leading and executing small projects efficiently, delivering results within stipulated timelines and meeting quality benchmarks.

  • Measuring the value and success of proposed solutions through comprehensive evaluation frameworks.

  • Assisting on-site contractors in resolving complex problems and incidents, leveraging expertise and resources effectively.

  • Identifying opportunities for re-use and promoting adherence to standards and best practices across the organization.

  • Advocating for safety in the NALO Business and fostering a culture of safety within the team environment.

  • Ensuring data integrity and promoting good documentation practices to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

Your Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in providing computer system support within an operational environment.

  • Understanding of warehouse management and logistics best practices.

  • Experience with SAP EWM, Exacta and/or WorldLink software.

  • Proficiency in using basic SQL to generate Oracle and Microsoft SQL database queries for script creation, incident resolution, data gathering, and report generation.

  • Experience in creating reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
