Role Summary:

The Associate Consultant, Analytics will work with clients and multi-disciplinary consulting teams and will possess strong analytical skills, a structured approach to problem solving and experience with process improvement and statistical analysis. In addition, the Junior Consultant, Analytics must be

a self-starter with potential to lead.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Associate Consultant, Analytics is responsible for delivery of productivity solutions for GE's healthcare clients. Analytics Consulting is an exciting discipline combining traditional consulting with analytics disciplines such as data science, statistics, simulation and predictive modeling. Engagements follow a problem back approach, leveraging interviews and data mining to align clients around high-value problem statements, then designing targeted solutions to improve

performance. Project types include designing efficient healthcare facilities, re-configuring existing capacity for patient throughput and experience, improving health system utilization and implementing real-time analytics in command centers to dynamically optimize coordination of

patient care.

Responsibilities Include

  • Contributing to engagement deliverables, coordinate activities and provide any necessary support

to the engagement team.

  • Assisting in the collection, validation and analysis of data to support engagement objectives.

  • Contributing to the planning and completion of high quality engagement deliverables on time and

on budget.

  • Assisting in the design and layout of analysis and in writing accurate reports to depict findings,

contributing to the development of conclusions and recommendations.

  • Assisting in the preparation of clear and insightful executive-level presentations.

  • Establishing credibility and develop relationships with mid-level client managers.

  • Serving as a professional representative of GE Healthcare in all public and client settings.

  • Participating in Knowledge Management activities as directed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering, Math or Statistics or related discipline,

  • Experience in outcome based process improvement, change management

  • Formal problem solving, logic

  • Experience with analytic techniques: regression analysis, simulation modeling, timeseries

forecasting, hypothesis testing using R, SAS or similar software

  • Experience programming in Java, C# or similar production level language applied to data

management, algorithms and automation

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs

  • Data management in SQL or Oracle, understanding of Data Mining principles and strategies

  • Hands on experience with data visualization and dashboard development in Tableau, Qlik or

similar

  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork

  • Ability to travel minimum 75%

Resolves complex issues in modeling and measuring risk, allocation of capital for performance measurement, or other aspects of risk measurement. 1. Responsible for resolving complex issues in capital estimation, regulatory reporting, external financial statements or other aspects of risk measurement. 2. Responsible for model development and/or overseeing quantitative analytical processes for risk and/or ensures regular production of analytical work and reports. 3. Evaluates existing framework in relation to corporate objectives and industry leading practices. Assesses development needs and manages process to achieve desired future state. 4. Provides technical/theoretical expertise to resolve risk issues and enhance overall risk framework. 5. Works with other risk teams to ensure that risk management policies/processes and quantitative modeling approaches are consistent. 6. Ensures that capital modeling and allocation approaches meet both internal corporate needs and regulatory requirements related to prevailing regulatory guidance. 7. Works with project management team to track development efforts and resolve issues. 8. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function. 9. Acts as subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level. 10. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact. 11. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities. 12. Conducts preliminary analysis. 13. Responsible for interaction with different committees and/or management. 14. May be responsible for developing, implementing and administering programs within Risk Management for specific product(s) A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required; Advanced degree in related field (math, statistics, economics) or equivalent career experience preferred. Related Industry qualification is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Analytical and problem solving skills are required. Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. SAS, Matlab, Advanced Excel) is preferred. Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of risk concepts and quantitative modeling techniques.
