Associate Compliance Analyst

Risk Management, Compliance, & Governance

Job Summary

Performs activities such as compliance tracking, metrics analysis, research internal and external websites and reporting. Ensures individual compliance procedures and policies are followed and documented appropriately.

Supports Compliance Manager(s) and Sr. Analyst in data maintenance activities and operating the defined processes based on manuals and guidance. May support Compliance Representatives on routine matters.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities
1.

Performs various quality reviews and updates compliance information systems with data pertaining to compliance subjects.
2.

Reviews emails and analyzes client responses to determines procedural steps to take based on the compliance status.
3.

Run various processes and prepare source data files with the supervision and oversight from Compliance Manager(s) and Sr. Analyst.
4.

Create ad hoc reports using MS Excel and MS Excel functions, pulling content from multiple systems.
5.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned including meeting notes, scheduling calls, excel v-lookups, pivot tables, charts & reporting.
6.

Data analysis and reporting that may pertain to other subject matter as needed.

Required Technical Skills

Proficient Microsoft Office skills; strong EXCEL skills; SQL skills beneficial.

Technical aptitude with MS SharePoint, Salesforce, and ServiceNow beneficial.

Written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree required

Mathematics or similar quantitative major preferred

One year of related experience preferred

Prefer strong Excel, Access database, PowerPoint, documentation, data quality and research experience.

Prior compliance monitoring experience a plus.

Partners with IT Security, Network Security, Legal Privacy Counsel, and Physical Security teams to execute proactive social engineering tests and respond to security incidents, representing the customer viewpoint. Executes the strategy for customer security experience and sponsors technology projects and business processes to at the direction of Customer Operations Security and Compliance leadership. Implements operational security standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cyber/network security, call center operations, and is customer-centric. This person must have the ability to apply legal and risk guidance in a manner that simultaneously balances mitigating security threats with effortless customer experience. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Individual contributor on team of Customer Security and Compliance analysts * Collaborate within a small team of analysts dedicated to Customer Security and Compliance * Partner with IT to maintain a list of critical customer data systems that require IT penetration testing and review the results of regular testing * Take individual responsibility for the execution of programs to regularly evaluate Customer Service Representatives on their compliance to security processes Incident Response * Contributes to the Customer Operations Customer Security Incident response playbook * Engage in incident response with IT Security and Network Security 24/7 as needed * Conduct post mortems after each incident to identify continuous improvement opportunities Training and Communication * Collaborate with corporate legal department to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are identified and incorporated into applicable training programs and courses * Tracks metrics associated with Customer Operations Security and Compliance programs * Provides day-to-day mentorship and guidance for Analyst team members Project Management * Apply project management skill set and work cross-functionally to drive and schedule the activities of technical and operational teams developing software, process improvements and communication solutions * Identify project risks and issues, and work cross-functionally to develop and implement mitigation strategies REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge * Position requires in-depth knowledge of network/cyber security and social engineering threats * Thorough knowledge of call center operations * Regulatory and Compliance experience required * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English * Ability to prioritize and organize effectively * Ability to document, prepare, and deliver data-driven presentations * Ability to influence internal and external key stakeholders and build consensus * Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members * Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure * Ability to drive results within a matrixed organization * Customer-focused * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Project Management * Independent thinker * Self-starter * Technically savvy Education BA/BS required in a related field (Cyber Security, Information Technology, Customer Science, MIS) or equivalent experience; Master's preferred Security certification such as CPP, CISSP, GIAC or similar Related Work Experience 5+ Years Security or Compliance experience within heavily-regulated industries such as Telecommunications, Healthcare, and/or Financial 3+ Years Leadership and Management experience 5+ Years Experience in IT, Security or Call Center Operations WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Some Travel required The Spectrum brands (including Spectrum Networks, Spectrum Enterprise and Spectrum Reach) are powered and innovated by Charter Communications.
