Position Summary: The Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) or Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional who has completed their Master's degree in counseling or a related field and is in the process of gaining supervised clinical experience to become a fully licensed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The Associate Clinician provides counseling and support services to individuals, couples, or families under the supervision of a licensed counselor while adhering to ethical standards and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities Counseling Services: ● Provide individual, group, or family counseling to clients seeking mental health support. ● Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their unique needs and goals. ● Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address clients' emotional and psychological concerns. ● Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. ● Provide ongoing case management to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Clinical Supervision: ● Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with a licensed supervisor to review cases, receive guidance, and enhance clinical skills. ● Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions and progress toward licensure requirements. Assessment and Evaluation: ● Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. ● Collaborate with supervising licensed counselors on diagnostic evaluations when necessary. ● Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.

Ethical Practice: ● Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' rights and autonomy. ● Stay informed about changes in counseling laws and regulations. Documentation and Reporting: ● Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and treatment plans. ● Prepare reports and documentation as required for licensure and regulatory compliance. Client Education: ● Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies. ● Offer resources and referrals for additional support services when needed.

Crisis Intervention: ● Be prepared to intervene in crisis situations and provide appropriate support or referrals. ● Collaborate with emergency services as necessary to ensure client safety. Collaboration and Teamwork: Our team members, including counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and support staff, actively communicate and share insights to create tailored treatment plans that address each client's unique needs.

Clinical Supervision: Regular clinical supervision sessions provide an opportunity for team members to receive guidance and mentorship. It's a space to discuss challenging cases, seek advice, and refine therapeutic techniques collaboratively.

Group Therapy Facilitation: Facilitating one monthly group therapy session allows team members to share their expertise and contribute to our group therapy program, which plays a vital role in our service offerings. Flexible Scheduling:

Our team recognizes the importance of meeting clients' needs at times convenient for them, which may extend beyond traditional business hours and may involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules. Facility Maintenance: All team members share office duties to include light cleaning in order to maintain a trauma informed and comforting environment.

Community Engagement: ● Our commitment to the community extends beyond counseling sessions. Team members are expected to represent the practice at community events and initiatives by participating in at least one community event per month, building connections with local resources, and recruiting potential clients. ● Metanoia Counseling hosts several events throughout the year as part of our commitment to promoting holistic wellness and mental health in the community. Team members are expected to actively participate in planning and facilitating these events, which may include workshops, seminars, wellness fairs, or other community outreach and fundraising activities.

Professional Development: ● Stay current with developments in social work and counseling through ongoing training and education. Team members will attend workshops, conferences, or other training opportunities. ● Maintain licensure and adhere to ethical standards and best practices in counseling and social work. Qualifications: ● Master's degree in counseling or a related field. ● Current LPC-Associate, LMSW licensure in the state of practice. ● Working on completion of required supervised hours under the guidance of a licensed counselor. ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills. ● Empathy, cultural competence, and a commitment to client well-being. ● Knowledge of counseling theories and techniques. ● Adherence to ethical and legal standards in counseling practice.
