This team of eight technical professionals are tasked to deliver innovation into botanical ingredient development to foster new products that fuel the product portfolios in beauty and nutrition. Working closely with our Amway owned botanical farms and partner farms, as well as our manufacturing operations in Washington state, this team will report to a Manager of Plant Ingredient Development. Development of our own botanical ingredients separate the Nutrilite brand from global competitors. How you would contribute to the role:
In this role you will work with a talented cross functional team, who collaborate to develop new botanical ingredients used in our beauty and nutrition products. You will guide process development activities, working closely with partners our Farms, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Product Development. Your work will be comprised of process development activities focused in our labs and pilot plants and scale up to manufacturing. Additionally, you will focus on resolution of identified issues, seeking to find the root cause and implement process changes for a successful outcome, ensuring quality standards. You will develop manufacturing instructions, working closely with formulation scientists and others on the team. What skills and background will be important to be successful:
Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience leading process development with nutrition, food, pharma, or beauty
Specific experience in process development for botanical ingredients, consumer supplement products desirable
Experience in root cause investigation and rapid issue resolution
Formulation experience desirable
Demonstrated experience in problem solving complex technical challenges
Strong collaboration skills exhibiting successful partnerships that delivered against strategic goals
BS in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
