We Are Hiring Location: Ascension St.

Vincent's Schedule: Hours are part-time and include assisting the Spiritual Care Department across Ascension St.

Vincent's with on-call, holidays, weekend coverage, and when there is a departmental staffing need.

What You Will Do Provide religious and spiritual care and counsel for emotional and spiritual distress to patients, their families, associates and others with attention to diverse spiritual orientations and cultures. Assess, provide, and document pastoral care to patients, families and staff. Provide appropriate pastoral care to the local ministry and community through prayer and blessings.

Provide consultation to patients, families, and medical staff with ethical decision making and values while making appropriate referrals as needed. Assist in planning, organizing, evaluating, and implementing the spiritual program with each local ministry in order to ensure spirituality initiatives are executed properly What You Will Need Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Human Behavior or a related field preferred. 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE required. 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE preferred. Work Experience: 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred. Additional Preferences The candidate must have 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education, a master in religion, theology or divinity and an ecclesial letter of endorsement from a religious institution.

The candidate should have experience as a intern, resident or chaplain in a hospital or hospice setting. The candidate should be progressing to board certified by either APC or NACC. Why Join Our Team Ascension St.
