At Palo Alto Networks, channel development is an extension of the territory sales team; the ultimate goal is to train and enable our channel partners to become more self-sufficient and gain leverage for the Palo Alto Networks brand. The Associate Channel Business Manager Federal DMR (aCBM) activities will center on relationship management at Direct Market Reseller (DMR) Federal Sales offices to achieve measurable results such as increased revenue, market share and seller penetration within the Federal/Government Sales Vertical for specific DMRs.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage Palo Alto Networks DMR partner in-region with whom you will contribute to and support National DMR and Federal channel territory bi-annual business planning

  • Partner attainment against DMR national and federal sales joint-goals will become a key measurement of success.

  • Manage, administer and deliver in-region sales and technical enablement for DMR Federal Sales Reps and System Engineers

  • Facilitate the delivery and certification of authorized training, professional services and front line support programs.

  • Facilitate, manage and/or drive DMR demand generation activities in region ensuring appropriate MDF ROI and compliance

  • Metric tracking and reporting focused on DMR Federal seller penetration, Territory and Account Mappings, Deal Registrations, new logos and DMR partner lift contribution

  • Assist and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with cross-functional stakeholders and leaders from both organizations to measure progress against mutual business objectives

  • Actively manage and drive Deal Registrations, pipeline development, and provide deal support to ensure orders are booked through the DMR and Distributor as forecasted

Qualifications:

  • East Coast location, preferably Herndon or similar Northern VA area

  • 4-5 years of progressive channel development experience

  • Federal DMR experience required, preferably 1-2 years with CDW/Insight at a minimum

  • University (Bachelor's) degree or equivalent education

  • Must have strong proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com

SUMMARY – The FCAM is responsible for business development, capture management, and Federal channel relations. The FCAM develops strategic relationships with three primary partners; reseller, vendor partner, and vehicle provider. Overall growth of the federal channel is the responsibility of the FCAM. The FCAM is responsible for organizations interested in adding value to their contracts with the Federal Government by positioning Global Knowledge products and services. The FCAM works on opportunities that are to meet today's need for a training solution as well as develop strategic relationships for ongoing pipeline growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – * Responsible for driving individual sales in named accounts * Responsible for working with the Federal SI-NAM and FSD Sales Directors to drive new sales through federal resellers. * Develop a target list of partners for specific federal customers and recruit those organizations to position Global Knowledge products and services. * Develop account strategies for reseller accounts based in the United States * Develop and maintain key decision maker relationships within the reseller partners, vendor partner and vendor provider accounts. * Develop business opportunities by attaching to partner GWAC and BPA agreements with the Federal customer * Target and develop lead relationships with government agency specific vendor field sales reps (Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, etc), and work in close coordination with FSDs to close deals. * Set mutually agreed to revenue objectives with Partners * Develop and implement marketing plans committed to by Partner and GK to achieve revenue objectives * Engage appropriate Global Knowledge Sales Director to drive a team selling approach. * Seek and identify new training requirements via vendor partners. * Attend tradeshow and strategic events to help grow customer awareness and sales growth. * Support the Director of Federal Business Development with tasked activities to find resources and solutions that meet the need of federal customers. * Support/Assist/Negotiate all/any contracts related to the Federal sector business unit. * Work with the VP of Federal Sales and appropriate Federal Director(s) to support corporate compliance to all contracting vehicles to ensure contract integrity. * Implement channel programs as directed * Accurately provide weekly forecasts against set list of key performance indicators. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – This position does not have any supervisory position at this time but does require managing sales opportunities in a matrixed team environment QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have 5 years' experience selling information technology training in multiple modalities. Candidate must have experience with Federal Channel Resell, system integrators, Prime/Subcontractor alliance partnerships, teaming agreements, Vendor and Vendor VARs.
