GDIT is looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to assist with the handling of workplace accommodation requests in our contact center operations. Responsibilities include coordinating, administering, and implementing the accommodation workflow process and procedures, identifying accommodations needed, assisting employees and participating in the interactive process, and partnering with HR staff to ensure accommodation requests are thoroughly reviewed and accommodations are implemented. The HR Business Partner may also identify the need for, develop, and conduct training; provide guidance to other HR staff on the workplace accommodation process; and identify trends and issues and contribute to creating and implementing solutions.
Candidates should have 2+ years of related human resources experience; thorough knowledge of ADAAA and experience with the interactive process. Strong interviewing, analytic and critical thinking skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Candidates must also maintain current knowledge of related leave and ADAAA laws and record-keeping requirements.
The Associate HR Business Partner will handle responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Work with clients to plan; organize; direct; implement and evaluate/measure the HR initiatives as outlined in the overall HCSD HR Strategy
Handles high volume of workplace accommodation requests for assigned contact center sites; coordinates with local HR Business Partner(s) to ensure efficiency in processing of requests.
Provides advice and counsel regarding ADAAA, Workplace Accommodations, and the internal workplace accommodation process.
Acts as a point of contact and provides input to assigned contact center sites regarding the implementation of ADAAA and the workplace accommodation process. This includes facilitating the interactive process, identifying action plans, making timely decisions, and implementing accommodation requests.
Maintains accurate documentation and ensures timely completion of administrative components of each request.
Maintains regular contact with stakeholders regarding progress and status of accommodations; assists in the resolution of any challenges related to accommodations.
Proactively assess risk to business and provides guidance to customers; Uses sound judgement to promptly escalate potential concerns to Workplace Accommodation Manager.
Performs quality reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide support for and conducts investigations regarding workplace accommodations.
Works closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expertise and hands on support. This includes reporting, identifying trends, problems, and issues regarding ADAAA and contributing to creating and implementing solutions.
Provides guidance to line management regarding accommodations and the leave process; Coach Managers and supervisors in best practices and employee engagement to effectively manage the employee leave process.
2+ years of related human resources experience, preferably in a contact center environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of ADAAA and workplace accommodation process
Demonstrated experience facilitating the interactive process
Demonstrated communication skills with different employee levels, to include hourly employees, frontline supervisors, program management and division leadership.
Strong interviewing, analysis and critical thinking skills required.
