Our Business Operations team is seeking an exceptional, passionate and highly strategic Business Operations Associate to support the LTS Customer Success business. This person will partner with senior leaders and the broader cross-functional team to drive day-to-day operations and help set strategy for one of LinkedIn's foundational products.

In this high-visibility role, you will be a key business partner to senior members of the Executive, Product, Engineering and Marketing teams. You will own a wide range of strategic and operational responsibilities for groups building products that reach hundreds of millions of our members, including business planning of teams / initiatives, modeling and operational performance management.


  • Maximize business performance: Develop in-depth understanding for what drives engagement and member usage with LinkedIn's consumer-facing products, and leverage insights to drive future direction

  • Performance manage: Understand product performance through dashboards and data that you create or gather, and drive cross-functional resolutions to operational issues

  • Forecast performance: Create and manage forecasting models for products, initiatives and the broader LinkedIn ecosystem, in close collaboration with Product teams

  • Distill direction: Lead analytical efforts in an unstructured environment to identify product insights and improve decision-making across various stakeholders, including growth, engagement, site usage and product economics. Develop and deliver on strategic initiatives for our leadership team.

  • Create connective tissue: Work with and share knowledge among various functions, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science and Executive teams

  • Be an expert: Serve as an expert on the business drivers of consumer-facing products for leadership in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Finance, International Managers, and Executives

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of work experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm and/or technology company

  • Bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, engineering or any quantitative major.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with executive-level staff

  • Passion for Internet products and technologies: A desire to live and breathe consumer-product and change the trajectory of the company.

  • Proactive and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information in an unstructured environment, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.

  • Very strong analytical skills: Experience solving real world business and product problems using advanced Excel modeling and relational databases.

  • Technically proficient (or interest in learning) SQL, experience a plus.

  • Practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, big data, and/or entrepreneurship. Experience (or desire to learn) about working with large datasets is a plus.

  • Clear communication: Able to articulately present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.

  • High-energy, team-first attitude: Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business

  • A team player who works collaboratively and effectively across a diverse set of functions, backgrounds, and working styles

  • A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment and strong product intuition

Responsibilities: As a Sales Strategy & Operations Associate, you will lead projects with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to make data-driven decisions on topics, including, but not limited to: * Growth strategy for existing customers * Global LTS Talent Brand strategy * Sales incentive design * Forecast modeling * Monetization strategies * Scaled service plans * Product mix analysis * Process improvement * Systems development Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to: * Gain management confidence creating and delivering insights in executive presentations * Establish strong working relationships with business operations, global Solutions organization, LTS product marketing, sales management, and the systems team to achieve above objectives without management involvement * Partner with sales executives on all operational and strategic requests (e.g., team restructuring, quota setting, org changes) * Play a vital role in driving our annual strategic planning process through data-driven recommendations in areas such as how to restructure teams, and improve productivity * Gather requirements and project manage changes to our processes and \ technology that result in improvements in team productivity * Coordinate cross-line of business and cross-functional teams to lead mission critical projects, role alignment & program integrations Basic Qualifications: * 2 + years experience in management consulting, investment banking or 1+ years in SaaS-based company in finance, ops or BizOps functions * BA/BS degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, computer science or other related technical fields * 3 + years experience in financial modeling and data analysis Preferred Qualifications: * Exceptionally strong communication skills, backed by stories of effectively communicating and influencing senior management (verbal and written via Powerpoint) * Experience in high-growth, performance-focused environments * Inside-out knowledge of Excel and ability to spot an "off" number from a mile away * 2+ years experience with a management consulting house * Experience with Salesforce and SQL * Demonstrated eagerness and ability to work in start-up based high-growth, performance-focused environment with lots of ambiguity * Exposure to SQL/Relational databases * Experience with Salesforce, SQL/relational databases and BI tools like Tableau * Exposure to standard sales ops and advertising metrics (i.e., CPC, CPM, CTR, delivery, etc.) * Experience working in a matrixed organization Linkedin San Francisco CA
