Associate Broker

Steadily is an insurance technology company that specializes in rental property insurance for landlords. We're three years old, just over 160 people, manage $20B in risk, and are intent on becoming the world's best and largest insurer of rental properties.

We exist to deliver fast, affordable insurance and to pay claims quickly and fairly. To do that, we hire the best engineers, actuaries, sales, and service people in the country to build the experience that we'd want if we were the client.

Steadily is hiring an Associate Broker who is the very best at what they do. You'll be surrounded by team members who are also the very best at what they do which will just make you even better.

What You'll Do

• Your primary responsibility is to receive quote requests from our sales agents and work with our wholesale partners to prepare quotes for the sales agent to present to the customer. You are also responsible for finalizing the bind process once the agent has secured a bind order.

• You will be the sole intermediary between the sales agents and the wholesale underwriters, so your speed and responsiveness to both is key.

• You will be responsible for compliance to ensure the sales agents have delivered all necessary bind subjectivities and collected payment properly prior to completing the transaction.

• Post-bind, wholesalers may email you directly regarding cancellations, inspection recommendations, etc. and you will be responsible for creating cases for rapid handling of these matters.

• Your success in the role is based on how quickly and thoroughly you are able to secure quotes for the sales agents that they are able to sell to the customer.

Your Background

• Experienced: You are highly skilled at quoting insurance through various carriers (either Personal Lines or Commercial) and you deeply understand the insurance application process.

• Licensing: P&C license preferred but is not required since you are not discussing coverage directly with customers.

• Organization: You are highly organized. You know where everything is at all times and nothing falls through the cracks. You are disciplined in setting tasks and following up.

• Compliance: You raise the bar when it comes to your standards of quality and excellence. When it comes to insurance, you always make sure your i's are dotted and your t's are crossed.

• Digital: Your tech savvy is exceptional. You're very fast on a computer and you prefer a pace that is fast and furious versus flow and steady.

Compensation and Benefits

• $75,000 including monthly production bonus plus equity in the company
