Job Description:

The Associate Brand Marketing Manager (ABM) develops, plans and executes marketing creative and initiatives for national promotions and core menu initiatives. The ABM leads projects and initiatives that support the broader marketing strategy, provides analytics and insights support, and collaborates with key cross-functional partners like Consumer Insights, Finance, Culinary and Operations on key initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Supports Director and Brand Managers on Core Menu and Lunch projects

  • Converts brand strategies into innovative action plans to achieve marketing growth opportunities

  • Applies an understanding of consumer, marketing and industry trends to daily work activities associated with the development and execution of brand-building opportunities

  • Analyzes brand metrics (e.g., sales, guest-counts), identifies trends, monitors competitive activity, and provides recommendations to improve menu performance

  • Executes tests related to promotions, new food/beverage items, and other marketing initiatives; reports test results and evaluates projects for further national launch

  • Develops and nurtures cross-functional relationships with Restaurant Support Center teams

  • Manages resources, tasks, contracts, scope, and budgets for projects; supports others in budgeting, contract agreements, and invoice payment for vendor-related work

  • Collaborates to ensure the delivery of promotions that achieve financial goals (guest, sales, margin)

  • Develops briefs to guide projects; plans, organizes, monitors, and controls all aspects of a project to ensure engagement, commitment, and risk management

  • Executes daily tasks associated with all or portion of the product development process: product ideation, development, testing, implementation and post analysis of promotion/core menu plans

  • Supports others in the development and execution of national promotion marketing calendars

  • Manages creative and initiatives for various marketing communications (e.g. marketing activations, promotional creative, etc.)

  • Reviews and provides input on marketing communications; ensures that messages support the brand promise and are aligned with the brand

  • Seeks and acts on operator feedback to ensure new products support operations excellence

  • The ABM has no direct reports

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Can effectively translate strategy & insights into action plans

  • National Promotion Development and Management: Can lead national promotions that build the brand and drive the business

  • Consumer Knowledge:
    Demonstrates knowledge of current consumer and industry behaviors, trends, attitudes, preferences and needs

  • Project Management: Can achieve desired outcomes on time and within budget through the application of project management principles and techniques

  • Data & Analytics: Can analyze data, identify trends, and translate into insights & recommendations

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field)

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years professional experience with 2+ years brand marketing experience; preferably in hospitality, retail, consumer packaged goods or advertising agency

  • Passion for food and hospitality industry

  • Team Player: Strong ability to build solid relationships across functions and businesses; across levels; between culinary and service teams. Works well with a team towards common goals

  • Organized Self Starter: Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to organize, plan, and follow-through on tasks. Strong attention to detail. Takes initiative and ownership.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid ability to connect and engage with others across all levels of the organization and within the team

  • Some travel required

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • MBA (Marketing or Business) preferred

  • Proven product development and/or promotional activity experience

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and hold team members accountable for performance

  • Prior experience with marketing teams and/or project management

The Associate Brand Manager will work closely with internal team members, key business partners (e.g. Finance, Ops, Guest relations) and external agencies to manage the creation and implementation of marketing initiatives to meet the company's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: * Monitor menu trends and industry food and beverage insights and provide recommendations worthwhile for the brand. * Ensure all marketing projects are executed accurately and on time, routing to the appropriate parties, internal and external, for input and approval. * Manage and implement email and social marketing strategies and tactics as needed and keep website content up to date. * Manage and execute National and/or Local Programs to maximize business opportunities across the locations and in line with overall brand strategy. * Conduct analysis and monitor reporting to understand MAH company, comp and regional sales, traffic and check of our customers. * Work cross functionally to execute programs and then evaluate each program using qualitative and quantitative analysis. * Institute customer feedback and research practices to guide product innovation in F&B as well as encourage guest frequency. * Manage the development of the year-long multi-channel marketing calendar (in partnership with Director) that supports assigned products including four walls collateral and menus, as well as external channels like web, social, email and digital. * Collaborate with agencies, graphic design, purchasing, finance, IT, Legal and other departments as necessary. * Build strong relationships with internal and external resources to ensure program success. Partner with supply chain, R&D and MAH national partners to feature products while maintaining MAH brand integrity. Provide reporting to stakeholders as necessary. * Draft and distribute internal communications outlining all upcoming marketing initiatives. * Additional task as needed to support the Marketing team.
