Position Summary:

The Associate Brand Manager will be an integral member of the North America Brand Marketing team to help drive the strategy and brand communication in support of building strong brands. This role will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of all strategic and tactical consumer-marketing activities to enhance the growth and profitability of the brand. Primary responsibilities will include supporting the Brand Manager to develop, recommend and lead the execution of marketing plans and manage the effective deployment of the marketing budget. Responsibilities will also include designing mixed media campaigns with a strong focus on digital and social media marketing, trade spend management, forecasting, analysis and reporting.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the development of detailed marketing plans to achieve stated objectives with a focus on digital platforms; support the creation of a full digital strategy to enhance brands in the digital space;

  • Develop brand communications including digital video content, paid social, social influencer content, trial programs and in-store programming;

  • Assist in developing and executing promotional initiatives to profitably increase consumption within budget parameters;

  • Support the annual strategic and business planning processes by assessing the market, evaluating past program performance, building marketing plans and identifying key goals and objectives;

  • Develop and manage A&P budget; provide regular updates of spending versus budget and ensure P&L is accurate and reflects any significant deviances from plan;

  • Closely monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity; manage SKU level forecasting, volume bridges and ship/share model to drive forecast accuracy;

  • Measure and evaluate marketing activities to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity; identify key issues impacting brand volume performance and recommend potential solutions;

  • Initiate market research projects to deliver powerful consumer and customer insights as the basis for long-term brand growth; develop these insights into achievable plans;

  • Identify and apply key consumer insights to support business opportunities and anticipate competitive response to brand actions and effectively analyze Nielsen data to identify business issues and trends;

  • Partner closely with Sales to identify opportunities to expand the business in existing channels of trade;

  • Provide accurate and timely performance updates including in-depth analysis of variances along with recommendations;

  • Support the creation of TV, print and digital advertising;

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technology opportunities in all areas related to digital marketing and social media;

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business or Marketing related discipline;
  • 3+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand in a global or commercial organization with strong analytical responsibilities;
  • 1+ years of experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns;

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

  • MBA preferred;

  • Strong commercial awareness and familiarity with latest marketing trends and best practices;

  • Demonstrated working experience in digital marketing; driving results through paid and organic social media campaigns;

  • Ability to conduct competitive analysis that identifies competitor strategies, strengths and weaknesses;

  • Savvy digital marketer with the ability to quickly understand and leverage the dynamic technology to maximize sales;

  • SEO experience (i.e., title tags, meta descriptions, key word density);

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders;

  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvements and proactively offer ideas for how to improve;

  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects autonomously in a challenging, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines;

  • Ability to influence without direct authority;

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment;

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization;

  • Proficiency using 3rd party technical and Social tools and platforms (Hootsuite, Buffer, Nuvi, TweetDeck Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Radian 6, Mail Chimp, Javascript, Word Press, CSS, etc).,

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

This position offers a broad exposure to the acquire business process and direct interaction with many of the different functional areas across the enterprise. The Associate Business Manager works as part of a team within the Commercial and International Business Office and directly with the Aftermarket Sales Managers to facilitate the process from initial strategy development through contract closure. This position provides an opportunity to lead cross-functional teams for purposes of the proposal process, complete special projects and further develop knowledge of our aftermarket business and the capture process. The Associate Business Manager will be responsible for the project management, timely preparation and submission of assigned proposals, contracts and licenses. The Associate Business Manager is expected to read, digest, understand and respond to customer requirements and lead pursuits from receipt of request through delivery of approved document to the customer. Assigned tasks will be unique, sometimes single or sole source bids, offers and estimates. Individual projects vary in size and complexity and support multiple P&L centers. The Associate Business Manager will lead several projects and teams comprised of personnel from various disciplines. Projects range in type to include but not limited to aftermarket products such as publications, training and logistics services, engineering services, inter-entity transactions, license and technical assistance agreements (LTAA), aircraft product improvements and major aircraft modifications. The Associate Business Manager may be occasionally required to support customer discussions, negotiations and closing of the sale. Additional responsibilities include: * Coordinate and align team responses ensuring that all submittals are compliant to the approved strategy, are on schedule, and all response approvals are obtained in accordance with Sikorsky Business Office and Lockheed Martin policies and procedures. * Maintain assigned Business Office project data within a CRM database and participate in achievement of metrics. * Anticipate possible delays and remedy on own initiative or work with the Business Manager to provide practical solutions to problems as they arise. * Share best practices and continuous learning across the Business Office team and be accountable for implementing improvement recommendations. * Understand and comply with ethics and ITC policies including recognition, proper handling of technical data, and control of exports according to corporate regulations and U.S. export law as well as enterprise procedures and protocols.
