Description:Reporting to the Brand Manager for Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sliced Bread, the Associate Brand Manager supports in planning, developing and implementing brand, category management and marketing strategies and program activities for the leading national premium bread brand in order to drive growth, volume, and share.

Responsibilities include providing support in the development and execution of brand strategy and marketing programs, key initiative project management, product portfolio strategy, and the coordination of field sales, cross functional teams, and suppliers as directed. The Associate Brand Manager would provide support to the Brand Manager on leading the Core Whole Grains and Country segments, along with having full ownership of the Rye segment and the Rye portfolio strategy. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Develop annual business and marketing plans for relevant categories of responsibility with appropriate objectives, strategies, programs, tactics and rationale.

Manage and coordinate efforts of functional groups on key initiatives exercising sound judgment when providing direction to these project teams. Support the planning and execution of key business and marketing activities related to positioning, product development, packaging, pricing, consumer and shopper marketing, advertising including social media, and market research. Develop localized business plans in conjunction with the BU Market Areas and Retailer Customer Teams.

Anticipate and manage the revision of plans as needed to address an ever changing competitive environment. Support in developing new product, line extension, and product improvement recommendations based on consumer learning, competitive and internal sales trends and manufacturing opportunity. Manage the marketing budget including the tracking and maintenance of the budget for all brand segments for all programs and support plans.Collaborate with external agencies on the planning of marketing conferences and PR programs.Manage sales reporting, sample requests for sales and account teams, couponing, and other ad hoc requests related to the Core/Rye business.

Lead and fully manage the Rye segment strategy including under the Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat brands, Beefsteak, and Levys business. Position

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in related field, ideally with emphasis in Marketing.

Strong progressive Marketing background with at least 3 years of experience.Consumer Packaged Goods or Food Industry experience preferred.Sales experience and/or Spanish language a plus.Strong Leadership and Personality skills.Excellent persuasive communication skills: written, verbal and presentation. Ability to multi-task organize time and lead groups with minimum direction.Strong understanding of business planning and strategy, marketing principles, analysis, promotions, budgeting, project management.Familiarity with Sales, Manufacturing, R&D and Finance principles.Strong ability to manage people without having direct organizational authority.Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources.Self-starter with proven ability to manage complexity and problem-solve.Computer skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and other software/ applications. Description:Shopper Marketing is an integral component of our integrated marketing approach, driving category, brand and share growth with our top retailers. Shopper marketing amplifies our brand’s strategies and marries them with each retailer’s strategic priorities to ultimately develop insight-driven programming to drive household penetration on our strategic brands. The Shopper Marketing Associate Manager is responsible for developing insights for brands and retailers, working with the agency to develop insight-based programs and sell-in the programs with the Account Executives. The associate will be responsible for creating best-in-class, shopper-centric activations grounded in consumer, shopper and retail insights. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with Category Management, Customer teams, sales, Brand Marketing, Finance, World Class Branding Center, e-commerce and the shopper marketing agency. Based on the skillset of the candidate, the position could be elevated to Shopper Marketing Brand Manager.
