The Associate BI Developer plays a vital role within the Kaplan Analytics Team, working alongside Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts. This collaborative team is committed to establishing a robust data infrastructure and deploying data-driven solutions to propel key business initiatives forward. As Associate BI Developer, seamless collaboration with the team is fundamental. By delivering a robust data pipeline, sophisticated data manipulation logic, and user-friendly reporting, the BI Developer ensures that insights are easily accessible and actionable for informed decision-making.

Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Data Integration and ETL: Learn, understand and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data warehouse or BI platform, ensuring data quality and consistency.

  • Data Querying: Understand business problems and write efficient data queries to extract and create datasets for reporting or any other analytics purposes.

  • Report and Dashboard Development: Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, SSRS, to provide actionable insights to business users.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of BI solutions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data and reports.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions and knowledge sharing activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Complete training, learn skill on the Job And continuous improvement to enhance the skill set, effectiveness and efficiency contribute to BI & analytics solutions.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis, Support & Troubleshooting: Provide comprehensive support including ad hoc analysis to address business queries, troubleshooting issues related to data integrity and report accuracy, ensuring smooth functioning.

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office

  • 30-day notification period preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Or Business Or any other equivalent degree.

  • 0-1 years of experience in Business Intelligence development.

  • Basic SQL Proficiency

  • Understanding of visualization and reporting fundamentals.

  • Strong Aptitude and Basic statistics.

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any certifications related to data analytics, statistics, analytical or BI tools.
