Associate - Banking Team

Job Description

Within our approachable, friendly, and team-based way of working, you will collaborate with a team that advises on a full spectrum of financial products in the banking area, including leveraged finance and private debt.

Our way of working is based on an international environment with a high level of collaboration and frequent contacts with other Clifford Chance offices around the world with the aim of guaranteeing the best possible service to our clients.

Our Debt Finance Team is currently composed of a number of associates who act on many of the ground-breaking banking deals in Italy and have become trusted advisers to the corporations and financial institutions that define the global markets.

You will be given the chance to handle a variety of work and be involved in working closely with clients and other lawyers. This means that you will develop outstanding transactional and organisational skills as well as developing superb technical abilities.

Qualifications

• You will ideally be an Italian qualified Associate (between 2 and 4 years post qualification experience) with substantial experience in leveraged finance and private debt deals in a top tier international law firm or a primary Italian law firm.
• You are interested in the Banking sector and, for this reason, you have delved into the subject during your professional experience.
• You will be a self-starter with a strong academic background, a team player with strong communication, analytical and drafting skills and a high level of commercial awareness, able to contribute to deals while managing different work-streams.
• You will have good English language skills and be able to work comfortably in English, both in drafting legal documents and advice and in communicating with clients and counterparties.
