Conduct financial, statistical, and industry analysis on companies and the industry to support the team's investment thesis. Research sector trends to support company/sector recommendations. Prepare reports/primers on economies, markets, and industries.
Initiate and build relationships with clients to develop a network of contacts appropriate to the industry, country, or asset market covered. Develop weekly and other frequency reports and presentations for client distribution. Discover, vet, and integrate new data vendors relevant to the stocks & markets covered in research process.
Work with vendor representatives to further understand sources of data and inherent statistical bias in the context of investment analysis. Analyze large datasets by coding in R, Python, VBA, and Alteryx to create summary statistics, regression analyses, and data visualizations for investment analysis. Analyze software products to determine covered companies' prospects for commercial success.
Aggregate and analyze financial data to build and enhance models used to support investment decisions. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Financial Economics, Accounting or related; and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related finance occupation.
