Associate Attorney - Privacy Governance And Tech Transactions

Position Overview Seeking a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience for a AM law 100 firm to join its highly regarded, globally recognized Digital Assets and Data Management (DADM) Group. This position offers the chance to collaborate with some of the largest, most renowned companies across diverse industries.

As part of the Privacy Governance and Technology Transactions Team within the DADM Group, the associate will be part of a national team advising clients on mitigating privacy and security risks through comprehensive policy reviews. The role will involve handling a broad spectrum of privacy compliance matters, with a primary focus on U.S. state privacy laws, such as the CCPA. Responsibilities include preparing privacy notices, providing guidance on cookie and website compliance, advising on compliant data use, and supporting DPA reviews and negotiations.

Experience with global privacy laws and health privacy regulations is preferred but not required. Qualifications Law firm or in-house experience offering proactive privacy compliance advice related to CCPA and other state privacy laws; GDPR and HIPAA experience preferred Prior experience in an Am Law 100 firm is a plus A strong academic background, with a J.D. from an accredited, nationally recognized law school Must be admitted to practice law in the state where the office is located Key Skills The ideal candidate will excel in the following areas: Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail Outstanding writing and oral communication abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage a dynamic workload, maintain priorities, and anticipate potential issues Compensation The anticipated salary for this role ranges from $250,000 to $320,000 annually, determined by various factors such as experience, education, and relevant skills.
